This is a red flag isn't it? Constantly criticising my driving

I've been seeing this man for around two months however it's really starting to get to me that he keeps on criticising my driving every time we go out. He has a licence but no car atm. He keeps saying I drive too slow, he doesn't like how I drive, he doesn't feel safe in the car with me, I drive too 'stiff', I've ended up snapping well just don't get in the fucking car with me anymore then and drive yourself. To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with my driving, no one else has ever commented on it, never had a speeding fine or a red flight ticket. I have driven all over the country to Cornwall, the Lake District, London and I actually like driving. It's knocking my confidence and I feel like binning him off over it, I'm not overreacting am I ?

Oh, can I join in? Grin

I once gave a guy friend/acquaintance a lift back to his car after a walk.

Him: Why are you indicating?
Me: Because I’m turning off at this junction.
Him: You do know what the speed limit is here don’t you?
Me: Yes, I do.
Him: Why aren’t you doing it then?
Me: Because driving safely and with awareness is more important (I was going slower than the 30mph in a busy, built up area)
Him: I’m parked here. STOP. We’re here.
Me: (pissed off now) Slaps the dashboard, jams my brakes on and says “emergency stop completed, SIR” followed by a slightly sarcastic, heavily humourous “So, did I pass my test then?”

I was going to suggest we went for a coffee after our walk but … nah. Just drove off instead.

OP – only 2 months and he’s like this? Yeah, not worth it. Drive away!

Out of curiosity, how did he react when you snapped?

Yeah he sounds like a twat. If he is constantly criticising already, then imagine what he would be like if you moved in together.
