Eharmony 10 yrs ago. Don't think tinder existed then. Tried a couple of free sites before that but they were full of weirdos or people who just wanted hookups. Found with eharmony that the fact you paid for it meant more people were genuinely looking for a relationship. Had a couple of nice dates before I met DH and then never looked back

I met my DP on plenty of fish. I never paid for any upgrades. At first I only dated those who paid for their subscriptions as I thought they'd be more serious about dating. I changed my MO and met an absolute bellend. Then met my DP who only ever went on there when his colleagues were pressuring him to get a GF. 5yrs later we're due our second child soon.
