Faked a positive covid test

Hey,

Think my partner faked a covid test to avoid having to come to my best friends wedding with me.

What are your thoughts on this?

There's no bad feeling between them at all they hardly know each other.

All thoughts/comments welcomed :)

I don't think you can fake a lateral flow other that using a blue pen to draw a line yourself.

Get him to do another lateral flow and keep watch of it?

You can,loads of stuff (particularly citrus products) give a positive reading

An LFT is easy to fake, a PCR not so easy. Has he taken a PCR.

If he bought a suit, it would indicate he planned to go, therefore why fake now. Maybe he was just being nosey to see if it could be faked. I'm always reading posts on the internet then googling what I've read, maybe he does the same

If someone looked at my search history they'd probably conclude I was a millionaire mass murderer interested in torturing animals. In reality I'm a budget conscious, loving pet owner with an interest in true crime.

That said, I would do or say pretty much anything to get out of going to a wedding

I've googled 'how to fake a lft', not because I want to fake one but I heard you could and I wanted to find out more... Goggling is what you do to find out information. I wouldn't think he went to all that effort to miss a wedding when he'd already bought clothes for it.

The fact he never took a PCR which would be harder to fake and what you found makes it seem suspect
Your supposed to take a pcr to confirm
If you have A lft so that contact tracing can take place, they have numbers , check for variants etc

You can fake a positive result. There was an article on Radio 4 recently about it. Certain drinks show up a positive result of you dip the swap in them

You self report, and if you say it's positive you get a text message telling you to isolate and get a PCR (I know as mine was positive recently). Quite feasible that he "tested" a day or so prior to the event, and so PCR result won't be back in time.

not saying he did or did not! But it's possible.

You could certainly fake the results notification text/ email, no need to fake the actual test.

If you have a positive lateral flow test, you have to get a PCR to confirm.

But whether he has faked it or not, you obviously don't trust him, so this relationship is dead in the water anyway.

On a day to day he's really caring and affectionate. He pulls his weight around the house, works hard and tries to give us the the best life possible.

He has a cam-girl"addiction" (and makes no attempt to hide it), only has sex 3-4 times a year, won't go to family events, leaves you short of cash. Hmm why do you consider him a good partner let alone potential good father? Set your bar higher.
