Can’t believe I’m onto my third thread.

Previous one here

Been packing the car to go to the tip. It’s rammed! Cat has been out for the first time and thankfully returned.

Greatly enjoyed my walks this weekend. Got an 8 miler in yesterday but the best part was coming back, lighting the fire and getting into a hot bath. Had a zoom with friends last night, touch too much red wine, but it was so much fun.

You’re all right re the petition. It doesn’t matter, he’s just jackbooting. Someone asked what I’d put in, sorry but I’m not comfortable sharing that at present, been advised to keep it to myself whilst it’s ongoing.

Geller is, however, incredulous that I’m not willing to carry on sharing Amazon Prime and Music Unlimited.

The weighted blankets have arrived so I’m just about to go sort out the laundry and the girls run. Been enjoying Radio 2’s musical weekend, but I can’t understand how Steve Wright is still on.

Tip run, then they come back. Roast chicken with bread sauce and roast gnocchi and board games this afternoon in front of the fire I think. Sounds like he’s been running them ragged, lots of walks etc which is good as means I don’t need to!

How’s everyone else spending their Sunday?

You’re right @RandomMess we’re on 60/40. But regardless he’s not doing terribly well 😂

He did the homework this weekend. But he’s not doing their daily reading.

Can’t tell you how much I laughed about his new neighbour being the new Mrs Ex Geller No 4!

Loved the clip as well!

I’ve been thinking about my style of entertaining and I’m far more likely to just wave people in the direction of the fridge and tell them to help themselves 🤣

Ooh! Just thought of disgruntled. You’re not gruntled, are you?!

You can just how that goes in court - you haven't managed 40% but you now want 50%???

RandomMess · 04/03/2021 14:45

Please document his every failing as evidence as to why you will not agree to 50:50z

Angry

He is so insufferable. Why does he think you are interested in a blow buy blow account of his new neighbour?

Has he moved into his purchased house now then?

Pashazade · 04/03/2021 15:19

So I don't know why but I decided to go and look gruntle up (I think because it's so good to say!) and oh my it's a real word! It means to please or satisfy, so I checked plenish as well and that's real too. Grin

@Pashazade that's brilliant , gruntled is such a lovely word . Love it 😍

pointythings · 04/03/2021 15:54

Pashazade well done - this thread is now officially educational as well as supportive.

RandomMess · 04/03/2021 15:56

I am going to work on being more gruntled with myself 🥰

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 04/03/2021 16:11

What about flabbergasted? Where or what is our flabber, and how does one 'gast' it??

StuckInPollyannaMode · 04/03/2021 16:31

@dexterslockedintheshedagain I know EXACTLY where my flabber is 🤣

@Lougle I just...boggled. Haven’t replied

My bottom is plenishing my jeans

Love it!

Pashazade · 04/03/2021 16:53

So had to check you can be whelmed! Seriously no idea this was a term, means to be overturned, or to cover something with a hollow vessel, so looks like overwhelmed has conflated that to mean overcome in more modern language.
You will be pleased to learn however that your flabber can remain well and truly gasted as the origin of flabbergasted is unknown according to the OED!

Oh and Polly I love the idea of your bottom plenishing your jeans Winkmine certainly does (wanders off humming Queen to herself).

DartmoorDoughnut · 04/03/2021 17:48

I accidentally ate an entire bar of Tonys Chocolonely today ... my behind is most definitely plenishing (?word?!) my jeans!

LannieDuck · 04/03/2021 19:28

I like flammable / inflammable.. both meaning the same thing :)

Sunbird24 · 04/03/2021 20:22

Can you make famatory statements as well as defamatory ones?

Mix56 · 04/03/2021 21:13

Hang on, you can say, "fancy your wealm plenishing ?" 🤪

ThinkWittyThoughts · 04/03/2021 23:25

@Mix56

Hang on, you can say, "fancy your wealm plenishing ?" 🤪

I'd be most gruntled to plenish my whelm.

I think.

Umm...

StuckInPollyannaMode · 05/03/2021 02:31

Just popping in on Insomnia Duty to say ITV have confirmed they are broadcasting Harry and Meghan at 9pm Monday.

All my whelms will be saved for then. @Sunbird24 I suspect we’ll find out the answer to that on Monday night 🤣

Thus endeth the Public Service Announcement

Sorry to see you’ve had a broken night. Hope you got back to sleep.

I feel very torn over the H&M interview. I do and I don’t want to watch it.

Mix56 · 05/03/2021 10:36

I don't doubt for a minute Meghan was a prima donna, being a "bully" & behaving as a wannabe royal, with no etiquette, & not knowing the rules.
& I don't think the palace want to wash their laundry in public.
I think H is a dithering idiot, & she is clearly wearing the trousers in their relationship (sorry for the expression)
Any publicity is good publicity in her book, she is after all putting on a "show".
The broadcast won't be on where I live, I don't doubt they will show bits of it on the TV where I live, (taking the piss out the whole fiasco) I imagine I would start to watch & find the whole thing itching my teeth.
I'm not specially anti Royals BTW. I just think Harry has cocked up. She hadn't the slightest idea what it involved to be a Royal & was disenchanted within weeks. He could have had more insight in view of his Mother's tortuous walk down a similar path.

ContessaDiPulpo · 05/03/2021 10:52

I must admit I think there is a bit of truth in allegations that she didn't always behave 'nicely', because she's human and probably gets frustrated/snippy sometimes. However I also think that the people on the receiving end of it were not remotely inclined to give her any leeway, for their own reasons. Out of this comes the complaints, I feel. She won't be a saint but I do think she's more sinned against than sinning.

RandomMess · 05/03/2021 11:48

I am just embarrassed on their behalf - they have no dignity!! Washing their dirty linen in public.

Harry should have stepped right back once W&K reproduced that was his opportunity to have the quieter life he has always claimed to crave and become a far more minor royal. He has shot himself in the foot completely.

LadyDanburysHat · 05/03/2021 13:23

I have never had anything against Meghan or Harry. But now I agree they are embarrassing themselves. Meghan saying that the royal family are saying awful things about her. They are not saying anything. The stories of bullying are not coming from the royal family.

I think that @Mix56 is correct that Meghan had no idea what being in the royal family entailed, but I also think she didn't care. And Harry has embarrassed himself by going along with what ever she says. This interview is not going to gain them public support. They didn't need to speak out, as Meghan has stated. They could just live their lives quietly.

Mix56 · 05/03/2021 14:00

They can't live their lives quietly though can they ? they need to keep the gossip going it is their gravy train. She is simply doing a Kardashian Hollywood type extravaganza, she will attempt to become an influencer, blogger etc. What is there left for them to do ?

Sunnyday321 · 05/03/2021 15:33

@Mix56
You are not the first person to say she seems to be going down the wannabe Kardashian vibe.
The royal family definitely would be unhappy with that.
