2.5 weeks after DD was born MIL came to stay. She said she'd hold DD for a bit so I could sleep. I was knackered as had had major blood loss and stitches from the labour and then an infection a new born. I go to go to sleep. DH gets in bed too and starts trying for a cuddle. At first I don't mind the cuddle but then I'm feeling uncomfortable and then he's inside me. It hurts. I manage to get him off me and go and sit with my mother in law in the front room (feet away).

The fact that he's out there getting involved with other women who do not know what he's like and could be vulnerable disturbs me - that should tell you what someone hearing this thinks about him.

whatever23 · 02/09/2019 09:47

@newtb I strongly suspect there wouldn't be much point.

So your DH raped you two weeks after you gave birth?

That's ducking hideous

hellsbellsmelons · 02/09/2019 11:45

I'm so glad he is no longer your partner.
Have you spoken with Rape Crisis>
If not then please do contact them.
They will have specialists you can talk this through with and also your previous rape.
You poor thing.
But you were strong and got away.
Well done!

whatever23 "I understand what you're saying I just can't think of a way to ever tell them this about their father." It's your call and if he is not involbed in their lives I can understand your wanting to keep quiet.

However, knowing he is not a nice person is a good idea, to explain why he is not in your life, or their lives etc. If he is in their lives then you really do need to protect them from him and even if he is seeing them and all is well I'd still want them to know the reasons for the split were due to him. I know it is hard to say but one day they may expect you to both be nice at their wedding etc!! Seen it here on Mumsnet.
