I fancy the postie!

Hello!

So I'm new to mumsnet. Long time lurker. I'm a 30yo single mum with two daughters.

I'll get straight to it. I order quite a lot of things online so the postie knocks on my door quite often. It's only been recently however that we started talking. Nothing much, just a bit of small talk and maybe light flirting? Hard to tell!

Today was lovely. He knocked this morning and as I answered my little yorkie ran out and he ran after her, picked her up and brought her back. Seems silly but a little gesture like that really meant a lot!

Anyway, I'm hopeless at taking initiative with these sorts of things. I have no idea if he's single and don't really know how to go about finding out?

Thank you!

ThatCurlyGirl · 15/07/2019 21:08

I am so over invested in this thread OP!

Also great example of not getting too carried away too soon but enjoying it and letting it develop organically - this is how it should be, fun and exciting and lovely.

Hope the date went well, please do update us as this thread has made me irrationally smiley!

Treaclepie19 · 16/07/2019 16:12

Just found this and it's so lovely 😍
Have you told him that you've got a whole mumsnet following to invite to the wedding?

icecreamsundae32 · 16/07/2019 16:25

Hope the second date went well. When I worked in an office years ago, the receptionist fancied the postman and they flirted for months.... eventually they got together too!

TheRLodger · 16/07/2019 18:59

Omg how have I only just discovered this? I love this type of thread.
Op he sounds lovely and glad you get on great

I've just read this whole post. How lovely! About time I read some good news.

He sounds like a lovely chap that's been through a lot in his life. I really hope things work out for you both. 🤞🏻 ❤️

quirkycutekitch · 16/07/2019 21:45

Love this - my DP is a postie, I always joke that loads of customers must fancy him - I would! 😂

Lipz · 17/07/2019 19:08

Hope you're ok OP and all went well.
