Just wondering whether anyone has met the love of their life in their forties, or whether “all the good ones are gone” by then! (Context: aged 40 and recently became single!)

Met my DP when we were both 40 - second time round for both of us. He has 2 children by a previous marriage and we had 2 of our own and then married when we were 48. I wasn't looking for someone (i had given up!) but up he popped. I am very happy with him. Smile

Yep! Divorced at 45 and never expected to meet anyone else. I didn’t go down the online dating route but, met my partner at 47, in real life... never been happier. You never know...

Yep, I was 45 and he was 52, both had long marriages previously and kids.

There is such an unbelievable connection between us, emotionally and physically. He is just the loveliest, kindest man, he makes my stomach ache with laughter.

Yep, met the most amazing man last year, who knows if it will be forever but I can tell you I appreciate him so much and what we have together. Being older and wiser has taught me valuable lessons.

My stepmum was 50 when she and my dad met. Im not a big believer in 'the one', but they made me wonder. It was so obvious that they'd found the person they'd been searching for all their lives. They only got 15 years together, which was heartbreaking but even at the end, when my dad was very frail, they were so in love

Those stories are so lovely to hear - thank you!
