'The conditions are ripe for me to cheat again'

spacedone123 · 26/04/2019 21:02

Said by my husband tonight.
Where to begin?

OP posts:
CustardD123 · 26/04/2019 22:35

Hard to really grasp this without the context...! but the "again" bit is concerning.

ConfCall · 26/04/2019 22:39

“Again”? Wow.

FusionChefGeoff · 26/04/2019 22:40

What. A. Twat.

cushioncovers · 26/04/2019 22:41

How do you feel about it op?

Aquamarine1029 · 26/04/2019 22:43

I do hope you showed him where the door is and then locked it behind him.

PurpleDaisies · 26/04/2019 22:43

How did you respond?

MissGruffalo · 26/04/2019 22:44

Shit, do you even need to ask?

notapizzaeater · 26/04/2019 22:44

Here's your bag, it's not a revolving door, bye !

InsertFunnyUsername · 26/04/2019 22:54

"Go fuck yourself"

Seriously, what an unattractive man.

SandyY2K · 26/04/2019 22:57

He's obviously cheated before and seems be blaming you for it.

If I wasn't ready to leave, I'd tell to go ahead and declare it an open marriage on both sides. That'll give him a shock.

This is a man with no remorse for his previous infidelity.

His comment also indicates he has no fear and feels very confident you're not going to leave him. Losing you us not a fear he has.

losingfaith · 26/04/2019 22:58

Suspect he'll try say it's "banter". It isn't funny. If he cared about you he wouldn't say something like that

KOKOtiltomorrow · 26/04/2019 23:00

If OP and H are living in Marital home she can't just kick.him out and change the locks FFS!

OP...I suggest you emotionally detach and start "acquiring " as much as you can....money, nectar points, top cash back, bank accounts (within reason if u do have savings).

50 pound cash back when u use the debit card in supermarket as that is easily hidden. Stockpile toiletries....basically get all u can before the cheating scum bag does a number on you !

category12 · 26/04/2019 23:03

I'd probably think he's already cheating, and that throwing him out would be the best option.

Runkle · 26/04/2019 23:06

Tell him he's an over ripe twat

RomanyQueen1 · 26/04/2019 23:07

Again?
He's still there after the first time and obviously hasn't changed.
I think you need a sti check, because he's probably at it again. Thanks
Why d you not think you are worth better?

MangoBananaSleep · 26/04/2019 23:07

LTB. What a twattish thing to say.

Georgeofthejungle · 26/04/2019 23:10

This conversation is creating conditions ripe for me kicking your ass out the door!

mushlett · 26/04/2019 23:11

I love the “it isn’t cheating if you have permission” line, it’s perfect, use it, life is too short. Be happy.

AdoraBell · 26/04/2019 23:15

Where to begin?

Don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out.

Then you move on with your head held high and don’t look back.

spacedone123 · 26/04/2019 23:19

3 kids.
Stay at home mum
He cheated 3 years ago
I do not care anymore.
I'm not going to budge.
I will 'smoke him out' instead.
He is the most egotistical human I have ever come across.
I think I'm shock proof now.

spacedone123 · 26/04/2019 23:22

@SandyY2K you have it on the nose.

OP posts:
WellErrr · 26/04/2019 23:26

I’d say nothing but quietly plan to leave, and then just do a midnight flit one day soon.

WellErrr · 26/04/2019 23:27

I mean, all the witty rejoinders would be great in theory, but in practice what you really need is a solid plan to leave, and to tell him as little as possible.

He sounds awful. Sorry OP. It’s not you, it’s him Flowers

AsleepAllDay · 26/04/2019 23:28

Sounds like he's trying to guilt or blame you.

There are no 'conditions' where cheating is ripe in a monogamous exclusive relationship

And again? Chuck him out

Cherrysoup · 26/04/2019 23:29

If I wasn't ready to leave, I'd tell to go ahead and declare it an open marriage on both sides. That'll give him a shock.

I like this!

He's clearly a massive wanker. Don't tell me, he 'needs' more sex than you want and doesn't pull his weight with the DC, so you're knackered. Am I right?
