We both sleep in bed together and I always wake up to her crying, yelling, screaming while she's having a bad dream what's the best thing for me to do?

Just ring the bell and her ladies-in-waiting will attend to her.

Justwanttotravel · 20/02/2019 08:24

OMG what’s the big deal about him calling her princess? It doesn’t offend everyone!

LuckyLou7 · 20/02/2019 08:27

Prince Harry's joined Mumsnet!

Psst, Harry, it's being pregnant that does it, some women have terrible nightmares.

callofdutyslayer · 20/02/2019 08:28

Catamaran1 · 20/02/2019 08:29

Shall we not try to sully someone's fond memories of their late partner by taking the piss?

Tennesseewhiskey · 20/02/2019 08:29

So not an auto correct. Fwiw, over protected = abusive. She doesn't need a protector.

Mummyoflittledragon · 20/02/2019 08:31

It’s go to bed fgs. You’ll never pass your GCSE English if you can’t get the basics right.

Mummyoflittledragon · 20/02/2019 08:32

Catamaran
Agreed.

Slightly creepy thread ...

No is taking the piss out if the poster whose late partner called her princess.

I ask a genuine question, about why it made her feel special because that will reveal with there is some thing, usually, not right with men referring to women as princesses.

As the op has revealed with his "I am over protective' statement

minieggsqueen · 20/02/2019 08:43

My boyfriend calls me Princess, calm the fuck down people Grin

(Its deffo not me btw- my boyfriend is not 19!)

Yippeee · 20/02/2019 08:45

I have never been called princess by anyone in my whole life thank god.

RedFeltHeart · 20/02/2019 09:26

Yeah, you need to grow out of that pretty quickly. Adult women generally don't want a man who is stiflingly 'overprotective' about them and it's usually a marker of an abuser. She's more than capable of 'protecting' herself, she doesn't need your cloying, overbearing behaviour.

Pinnacular · 20/02/2019 09:40

You'd better slay all the dragons that are causing her bad dreams oh-ver(y)-protective Knight. Only you can save her. Hurry now. She's going to be sooo grateful. You'll live happily ever after and everything.

Wake up. Wake up! It's you. YOU were the one dreaming! Oh ho. How funny. You dreamt that your girlfriend was a fairy tale princess instead of an adult woman. Hilarious. She'll love to hear how ridiculous it was. Imagine, a world where her boyfriend thinks it's OK to be 'over-protective'! Lols.

Nesssie · 20/02/2019 10:19

Sleep in a different wing then. Grin

Dohee · 20/02/2019 10:23

Has the princess a wicked father and half sister? If so, I think the palace should guide her.

MumsyJ · 20/02/2019 10:25

Each to theirs. Nobody needs to conform to anyone's choice. If you don't like being called a princess, fair enough. That doesn't mean those that like being called a princess are objects to their partners.

Slow down people!

QuirkyQuark · 20/02/2019 10:45

Without wishing to be rude, my 13yr old son uses the word laggy when referring to crappy internet. I've never heard his older siblings us3 that word.

Romanov · 20/02/2019 11:52

hmmmmmm

YoLoHogwomanay · 20/02/2019 12:24

the OP is a young teen and scared by what happens to his GF in the night. He is most likely unfamiliar with MN views.

Vipers, no need to rip into him. Give the poor wee lad a break. He came here for help.

I’m 36 and used to work in IT. Laggy was commonly used.

pinkhorse · 20/02/2019 19:36

Huh? I am totally confused.

AnyFucker · 20/02/2019 19:39

Doesn't the winter half term drag ?
