I purely ask, as I see the term branded around a lot on the relationships board on MN.
A guy I was sort of seeing told an ex colleague of mine, that we had a 'connection'. I think I know what he means by that.! 🤔

Sexual attraction. It’s not a phrase you usually hear once people get to know each other properly.

@wishywashy6 In the context in which I'm discussing I don't believe he said it as an empty platitude. It's just how he chose to describe what we had to another person.

@Loopytiles
Possibly. I just found it interesting how he chose to use that term to describe us. As I do know how he interprets the phrase; as he said to me once he introduced an old girlfriend to her now husband, and said that he could see their 'connection' instantly.

@Mamabear4180 really? I'd say if anything our connection grows stronger the longer we know someone
I think 'a connection' can be made away from relationships too. I have friends both male and female who I connect with better than others
One of my now best friends I've only known 4 years, she's 12 years younger than me and I guess on paper you wouldn't put us together as mates, but we met on a random night out for someone's birthday and we just 'clicked' can't get rid of her now 😉
Definitely no sexual attraction there 😳😂

It is more polite than saying you had a hot fling!

lollylocket · 24/01/2019 19:33

@Loopytiles Haha! Yes I guess so. That it was, if nothing else.

Sexual and emotional attraction for me. Someone who I get and who gets me, so a mutual understanding of each other.

lollylocket · 24/01/2019 21:24

@Unbelievable18 Yes! That's how I would interpret too. I feel it's more than physical attraction, but as you say the emotional attraction/connection.

Haven't you posted about this before?

Good grief
