My husband is super secretive over his phone and his computer. Whenever I look overbid shoulder I always notice it's the incognito tab the he is using. I try never to look at his phone or computer as when I do I find stuff I don't like. Anyway over Christmas he had given his password to the kids and they left the computer on so perfect for me to have a quick look. On it I found a file of photos of an ex girlfriend of a friend of his that he had donwnloaded from Facebook. As far as I know she lives in a different city and he hasn't seen her in 10 years. When I found these photos of I was very upset as he had made a similar file with photos of the same woman earlier in the year. The photos are not her in sexy clothes ect just everyday photos with her by herself and her with her kids. But his file history shows that he looks at them regulary. Last time when he downloaded the photos one of them came up on my phone as we have a joint photo account so I confronted him about this one photo. He dismissed it saying he didn't know how it had happened but then I noticed that he deleated the file. I left it after that as I don't really know what to do. When I found this new file I was crying my eyes out and so when he asked what was wrong I told him. He dismissed it completely and said it was completely normal for him to have these photos and that how can I say anything to him when I am always looking at pictures of my ex on Facebook (which is total rubbish). This was two days ago and he is still saying it's normal and I am in the wrong. I think its really creepy for him to have these photos. I've asked him why and he said he doesn't know. He also said he's now deleated the file but all he's done is moved it into a work file so he thinks i'll think its gone. I don't understand this. Im pregnant and sad. He goes out three times + a week and comes back in the middle of the night without letting me know where he is - if I ring or text him he just ignores it. He never comes to bed when I go to bed but he insists that he is happy with me. We do have good sex and he does take good care of me when he is around but snaps at me a lot and implies that I couldn't live without him. I don't have anyone to talk to about all this and I would appreciate other people's thoughts.

He's with his friends? How old is he, 19? Confused

Sorry OP, I'm trying to be kind to you Sad

cloudchaos · 01/01/2019 18:00

If you ask him the question, "why have you downloaded the photos of your friends ex girlfriend and saved them on your computer" what reason does he give? I'd like to understand the "totally normal" reason anyone would have for doing that!!

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 18:07

He just said that he didn't know why.

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 18:11

No he's not 19. I've told himself many times that I don't mind him being out but just to keep in touch with me or at least be honest with me about when he will be back. He agrees then will for example phone me at 8pm saying he's leaving in half an hour - I'll be really happy that he's phoned and then an hour will pass, two hours,3,4,5 and I'll hear nothing

Deathraystare · 01/01/2019 18:14

Of course he would be so understanding and reasonable if you acted i the same way...NOT!

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 18:24

Yes you're right he wouldn't be. It's not so easy to leave someone though when you love them and he says he loves me so much and we have a family together. I have no money and no support network and he is my best friend in lots of ways. I just wanted to find out if other people thought this photo thing was normal.

Closetbeanmuncher · 01/01/2019 18:53

The photos are very weird and stalkerish....
The staying out until late into the night and turning off the phone is shady as fuck....
He has you exactly where he wants you... licking his boots and eternally grateful to have him.

Im astounded that you can't see what's happening here..

Be prepared to not recognise yourself in another few months.

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 19:03

Has anybody else had a similar experience?

PrincessScarlett · 01/01/2019 19:07

Sorry OP but he is treating you appallingly. The telling you he's leaving in half an hour and then leaving you wondering where he is for another 5 hours is manipulative and controlling. He is pushing you into accepting more and more unreasonable behaviour from him. And by telling you that you can't cope without him is him slowly chipping away at your self esteem and confidence. He keeps telling you he loves you because he knows that is what you want to hear. But if he really loved you he wouldn't be treating you like this.

Thisnamechanger · 01/01/2019 19:13

My ex did this, also picture of my friends and his own ex's.

It turned out to be the very tip of a very sinister shitberg in my case. It just took me years to work it out because every time I found something shady he was really good at making me feel like a nutcase for having a problem with it.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/01/2019 19:17

Agree with others none of this is normal he sounds awful.

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 19:21

Can you tell me anymore about what happened? It's more useful to hear about a real experience than people just saying leave him - as you know it's not that easy.

TheDarkPassenger · 01/01/2019 20:25

@user1479305498

They don’t know who killed Suzy Lamplugh though?

OP, this gave me the creeps! I’d be tempted to try to call him out on it by saying you’re going to have to let the girl know. And then, please, let the girl know.

Thisnamechanger · 01/01/2019 20:27

He eventually admitted he saved them to masturbate over. It later turned out he was also saving images of teenaged girls (dressed photos, not illegal) which I could only assume were for the same purpose (he never admitted that obviously).

I'm not saying this is what your DH is up to but of he has saved them for his spank bank to me it displays a worrying ability to be able to detatch from the fact his was cracking off over people's innocent snaps of themselves.

Closetbeanmuncher · 01/01/2019 20:46

@thisnamechanger smart move binning that one off....Grim!

Thisnamechanger · 01/01/2019 21:10

He also shagged someone else on my settee while I was asleep in bed! Disgusting man.

NorksAreMessy · 01/01/2019 21:35

.

Closetbeanmuncher · 01/01/2019 21:58

ShockShock

SirVixofVixHall · 01/01/2019 22:05

I can’t imagine how that poor woman would feel if she knew he had this file on her. I would be terrified . It is really creepy and bizarre behaviour. How would you feel if some friend of a long ago boyfriend of yours kept a file of photograohs of you op ?
It is so creepy and strange that i would honestly wonder what he is doing out all hours. Spying on women ? Worse ?
Not normal. Scary.

MistressDeeCee · 01/01/2019 22:08

Your husband is a creep.

Can you imagine how she'd feel if she found out what he was doing?

As an aside - Ive worked in a library and think many would be astounded at the amount of men who come in to stalk celebs online as well as perve over non-celeb women & no, it's not just skimpily dressed women.

The internet isn't that safe for women. I really hope your H doesn't ever try to approach this woman but that if he does, she calls the police.

I dread to think what he's doing on nights out

Woodenfloor · 01/01/2019 23:25

Has anybody had this experience and confronted the husband?

WanderingTrolley1 · 01/01/2019 23:27

So wrong and creepy.

cloudchaos · 01/01/2019 23:37

Even if others do have experience of this Wooden, it doesn't mean your DH has the same motivation or that you'd end up with the same outcome. Only your DH knows why he is doing this.

abbsisspartacus · 01/01/2019 23:43

Has anybody else had a similar experience?

Yes the person who posted the same scenario a few months past pretty much identical including the piss poor treatment of her try an advanced search..

SparklyMagpie · 01/01/2019 23:55

That is vile aswell as stalkerish an fucking creepy!

If anything, cos let's be honest you'll stay with that sleazy prick, LET THE WOMAN KNOW!!!

the thought of someone having my pictures like that sends shivvers down my spine

You've spoken to him, what else do you think he's going to say??
