How did you meet your DP/DH and how old were you?

I've been single for 4 years now and I'm finally feeling ready to meet someone. The problem is my job is very female orientated and I rarely go out

Plenty of fish. I was 27 and he was 34. We've been together 6.5 years and married for 5.5 and have 2 children age 5.5 and nearly 3

Initially met through my best friend's brothers aged seventeen. He was a good friend of theirs. Started seeing each other after bumping into each other in a club owned by a mutual friends aged 22. We were engaged in three months and married six months after that. I was 23, that was 23 years ago.

We met through online dating 5 years ago when I was 32 and he was about to be 35. Things moved quite fast - we are now married and have 2 DC who are 3 and 1.

I worked for an estate agents, he came in and we started chatting. He invited me out for lunch. I was 22 he was 26. We married the following year. Our children are now 27 and 24.

We were 23 & 24 and met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. It was completely random, we got married 9 months later. That was 20 years ago.

We met through friends when I was 16 and he was 21. Didn't get together until I was 21 and he was 26 as we were both in other relationships. Been together 14 years (married for 10) with 2 kids (3.5 and 10mo).

Out for after work drinks. He was a colleague of a work friend’s partner. I was 28 and had pretty much given up on after meeting anyone decent after a string of absolute arseholes. We’ve been happily together and married over a decade now with two dc.

I met my first husband in a nightclub. I was 22 he was 30. We were married for 12 years

I met my second husband in a Yahoo chat room ( down the pub) Grin I was 37 and he was 38. We have been married 15 years now

At a planning meeting for a mutual hobby. He was returning after taking a break, so I'd never met him before, despite our hobby being a pretty close-knit community.

I told him I liked his mutton chops. He offered me home-brewed schnapps. I expressed pleasure that a friend had brought her baby to the meeting, and regret that DD was with her dad. He said he'd learn how to go on with children if I'd go for hot chocolate with him.

I was 22, he was almost 33. Been together five years, married in May this year. He did indeed learn how to go on with children, and he and DD(7) are a force of nature.

I hope I meet someone eventually, our village pub has closed down which is a massive shame as it would've been the ideal way to meet people! There's nothing in the village and the few friends I have don't live locally enough for nights out to be done more than a few times a year realistically!

Both 18, same halls at Uni... and it turned out same course too but I just didn’t know cos he skipped the whole first term’s lectures Grin

I was 35, online dating. We were long distance for three months and then moved in together. We have been together for three years now and our first wedding anniversary is in a couple of weeks.

I was 29, he was 31 & he winked at me on match.com.

We swapped numbers about a week later, chatted on the phone for a few weeks then went out on a date. Got engaged 2 months later, married 8 months later & DD arrived a few weeks after the 1st anniversary of our 1st date.

Been married 8 years now & we have another 2 DC together too (was a single mum to DS1 when we met).
