Found a long hair...

No reasonable explanation I can think of. It was on a blanket we keep in the lounge for snuggling under. I'm the only ones that uses it. DH sits in shorts while I snuggle under a blanket and that is our compromise on the constant difference between our body temperatures.

I have short cropped hair. Slightly layered. Have had this style for 8 years. We don't really have people over to our house and these blankets are been washed within the last 3 weeks. The only other people here in that time is MIL and FIL. MIL has very short hair too. I've attached a pic. First 2 hairs are my long and short layers. 3 hair is very obviously different. WTF do I do? Just ignore? No other reason to suspect foul play by DH.

Cleaner's hair?

MadisonMontgomery · 20/10/2018 10:10

As everyone else has said, I have super long hair and it sheds ridiculously - if you sat on my chair at work, sat next to met etc chances are you’d pick one up.

daftyburd · 20/10/2018 10:55

My friend pulled one of my hair’s out of her dog’s bum this week. Dog and I are not having an affair 😃

HarmlessChap · 20/10/2018 10:57

Best get rid of the hair pronto, if your DH finds it he may get suspicious!!!!!

TooTrueToBeGood · 20/10/2018 11:03

Dog and I are not having an affair

Well you would say that, wouldn't you. 😁

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 20/10/2018 11:10

I moult as well. DP was complaining about the vacuum cleaner, took it apart and told me "it would work much better without about two wigs in there, how do you even have hair left!". So I can easily see it travelling.

booboo24 · 20/10/2018 17:11

My fiance took a top out of his wardrobe this morning (we don't live together yet) and said, look at this, your hair gets everywhere, he then went on to complain that his son even had a long blonde one in his boxers the other day! I shed like noones business!!

Penisbeakerismyfavethread · 20/10/2018 17:16

A colleague pulled one of my hairs out of his laptop hinge in the office on Thursday - I was mortified 😂

HarveyNickNacks · 20/10/2018 21:18

I shed hair at a ridiculous rate. I frequently have to cut it off the brush bar on the vacuum cleaner.

My DH is always complaining that his clothes always seem to have some of my hair attached. We both travel frequently for work so I dread to think how many hotel rooms have my hair in them.

God forbid any of them become a crime scene!

MabelFurball · 20/10/2018 22:14

It could even be a long body hair of yours OP that you have not noticed growing.

GreenLantern53 · 20/10/2018 22:21

a long body hair?! Envy (vom)

Mrstobe90 · 20/10/2018 22:25

My hair is literally everywhere. I seem to shed like crazy since having my dd.

My poor husband has had to unclog the shower drain 5 times in the last 2 months.

namechange4000 · 21/10/2018 09:53

This has really got me thinking. How on earth can rapists and murderers be convicted on a single strand of hair? Like many PP's have said, they're hair gets everywhere.

Obviously I have no examples, but, I'd assume a hair found in the home of the 'suspect' as pretty convincing dna evidence.

I know this is completely missing the point of the OP but it's my thread..Grin

TooTrueToBeGood are you my dog? He gets very sniffy and moody if he thinks I’ve been out patting other dogs 😀

booboo24 · 22/10/2018 17:08

OP because it would be pretty damning for a suspect to have the victim's hair on them or in their house. They wouldn't be searching the property if they weren't already lining them up as a suspect, so the hair would be extra evidence! I remember a case where a woman got raped by a taxi driver, due to watching CSI she had the forethought to pull some of her hair out and wedge it under the car seat incase she was killed by him. They caught him because of this

MaryJenson · 22/10/2018 17:16

They wouldn’t convict on just that evidence alone. It would just add to the case for a successful conviction
