Will we ever have sex again 😂

Two teens in the house whose bedroom is about 5 paces from us. A dog that sleeps on the bed...it's never going to happen!
The dog barks if we shut him out of our bedroom and everyone sleeps with bedroom doors open. Teen one is a night owl, teen two is an early riser so that just leaves daytime, except we are both at work! Never manage to coordinate the teens both going out at the same time at weekends, so one is always home.
This is until they move out isn't it 😯😂

Start keeping your door shut and learn to be extremely quiet. The dog will be unimpressed but tough!

YeTalkShiteHen · 25/09/2018 17:47

Tell them unless they start coordinating going out at the same time you’ll start shagging with abandon all over the house Grin see how fast they bolt for the door Grin

Adora10 · 25/09/2018 17:47

That is weird that everyone sleeps with doors open, what about personal space, your bedroom should be your sanctuary; I'd not be able to live like that, regardless of sex, I'd like my door shut thank you very much.

If you can't do that then go away for a night to a hotel or bloody tell them them both to go out so you and him can actually have some time to yourselves, sounds like you've allowed the kids and the dog to rule the roost.

PookieDo · 25/09/2018 17:47

The sofa? The shed?

Racecardriver · 25/09/2018 17:48

Meet up during your lunch breaks?

bengalcat · 25/09/2018 17:50

Crack on they'll soon close their doors and the dog will either jump off temporarily or not be bothered

Horsemad · 25/09/2018 17:50

Take a day's leave, go for a nice (early Wink lunch) & back home before teens are home from school... Grin

DailyMailCanFO · 25/09/2018 17:52

Kids don't rule the roost at all @Adora10 I don't understand how doors being open equates to that! I hate having doors shut, bedroom gets too stuffy despite windows always open. We all still knock on doors before entering blah blah but removed doors so ground floor is open plan as well as I generally just don't do doors lol!
@YeTalkShiteHen it may just come to that 😂

We all tend to sleep with doors open. Though our kids arnt teens yet ..... and they their bedrooms not near ours.

Why not in the morning if they are down stairs....

YeTalkShiteHen · 25/09/2018 17:53

DailyMailCanFO my pal’s parents used to boot her and her brothers out to friend’s houses, blatant as you like. We were horrified as teenagers but as an adult I think “good on them!”

DailyMailCanFO · 25/09/2018 17:53

I'm not allowed to take leave during term time and he works too far to meet up in my very short lunch break otherwise that would have been my plan @Horsemad

DailyMailCanFO · 25/09/2018 17:54

@wherearemymarbles one is always upstairs and one downstairs in the morning 🙄

Hotel for a weekend then, or farm the DC out! 😂

Adora10 · 25/09/2018 17:56

Each to their own OP, I'd honestly hate not having a bedroom door! Couldn't stand hearing others snoring, making noises and god knows what else! I'd honestly send them out together so you can have time to yourselves, it shouldn't be this difficult.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 25/09/2018 17:57

This is why DH and I work from home a day a week Wink

DailyMailCanFO · 25/09/2018 17:57

@adora10 we have bedroom doors, they just stay open!

Wherearemymarbles · 25/09/2018 17:58

Its a tough one for sure and we will face the same issue soon :(
Can you go for a drive some where???

Adora10 · 25/09/2018 17:59

So how can you expect to have sex with doors wide open, I just don't get it but as I say each to their own, but therein lies your problem!

Hoppinggreen · 25/09/2018 18:03

DH works from home on Fridays
Dc at school and dog banished downstairs
If it wasn’t for “Funtime fridays” it would never happen

Definitely keep the dog downstairs,it's a passion killer

Aquamarine1029 · 25/09/2018 18:25

Op, go in your room, any time of day, lock the door and have a quickie. Why is that so impossible? If they come knocking tell them to bugger off and you'll be out in a minute. It's so silly and unnecessary to allow your teenage children who do not need constant supervision to dictate your sex life. Honestly, you're using the children as an excuse!

MiniTheMinx · 25/09/2018 19:17

Do your kids have TVs or pcs? Buy them headphones.

I have two teenage boys and I have sex. I'm sure they know DH and I dtd and on occasion they may have heard. It has been in anyway detrimental to my relationship with my sons. They are home bodies, if it bothered them I'm sure they would have started going out.

Just get on with it OP.

SandyY2K · 25/09/2018 23:28

You choose to leave doors open...so what do you expect?

I have teens...and haven't ever found privacy to have sex a problem. Our bedroom door has always had a lock on it.

As for the dog... you need to sort out your priorities. Letting a dog impact your sex life is madness.

DailyMailCanFO · 25/09/2018 23:58

The post was meant to be light hearted hence the laughing face in the title.
Never lived in a property that has a lock on a bedroom door and can't imagine why I'd need to. We don't close our doors at night, never have done. In fact the only door with a lock is the bathroom door and that's only used if visitors are here!
