Two teens in the house whose bedroom is about 5 paces from us. A dog that sleeps on the bed...it's never going to happen!
The dog barks if we shut him out of our bedroom and everyone sleeps with bedroom doors open. Teen one is a night owl, teen two is an early riser so that just leaves daytime, except we are both at work! Never manage to coordinate the teens both going out at the same time at weekends, so one is always home.
This is until they move out isn't it 😯😂

I could have written your post OP! For everyone saying "just shut the door and get on with it", I agree that it's really hard to relax and enjoy it when you've got teenagers literally feet away through the wall.
I remember hearing my parents bonking on occasion and I hated it: I found it very hard to look them in the eye afterwards. The memory of my mum's moaning in the small hours and the realisation of what was going on still makes me shudder!
The only solution I have found is to work from home now and again or to crack on at every opportunity when the kids do both go out... but so often there are other tasks pressing for busy people who work full time. It is hard to make the time.

Get in the shower together with the bathroom door locked!! We do haha

I had a post about this recently as we started DTD in the shed in summer! Same problems as you OP now we just close the door at night for the hour (10mins) then re open it once sorted!
