Are there actually any nice men out there?

NC for this but just wondering if there are any decent men out there? Does anyone actually know any?! Ones who don’t have affairs or constantly pester for sex?

I’m in need of some reassurance; I’m facing the end of my marriage and if reading this board is anything to go by, then all the other men are as bad as, or worse, than my STBXH!

My husband, my Dad and my brother are and I very much hope my son will be! It took me a long to e to find my lovely husband but in a way I was lucky as I knew good men did exist as my Dad was one. I do think there are many extremely selfish men and men who are allowed to behave disrespectfully by the women who stay in their lives too.
A good partner, of either sex, will have you feeling safe, cherished, respected, valued. You will feel a warm contentment- even when you're irritated by them - as you just know they have your back as you have theirs.

OP, your stbxh did a horrendously cruel thing to you by having an affair and I agree with laying the blame of the breakdown of your marriage with him, but how was he before this ? You married him so he must have been a nice person then ?
You need to look at yourself too and take some responsibility for the breakdown of your relationship prior to the affair .
He was weak by opting out and having an affair when things began to break down between you both you were both responsible.
