Not that into me - proud that I dumped him!

So following up from another thread about a guy whom I had been seeing for nearly 2 months was still on Tinder. Seeing him was making me feel very stressed but I talked myself into giving him the benefit of the doubt and see how things went.

Today was the first time in 3 weeks we were both in town. He had asked me out for dinner tonight 3 days ago. This morning he said he could not wait to see me.

Today at 4pm he texted me saying that actually, he had forgot he had a dinner with friends, but he would text me after dinner and what were my plans for tonight anyway? Confused

He wasn't even apologetic. I told him things aren't working for me so we should leave it here.

I feel proud of myself for being able to see the signs of a half-interested man early on, and having the spine to act on those signs even though I really like him. Only a couple of years ago I would not have been able to see and do that.

"If it does not feel right, it isn't right."

I am not sure what you mean about us not being on the same page, but if that is your decision it is okay. I actually really like you. Shame

Says to me - "Oh right, well thanks a lot, cheeky cow, I suppose you are allowed to make your own mind up, shame as I would have let you shag me"

Well done you!

Lightningbolt82 · 05/08/2018 07:12

Well done. Don't waste any more time. 😃

Well done you! Now be prepared for him to pop up in a few weeks or months when he's having a dry spell. Don't let him catch you at a weak point.

Mikethenight2good · 05/08/2018 07:32

Well done!! Such dickheads around.

No block and delete his number so he can't contact you again.

SpringSprung18 · 05/08/2018 08:16

You've done well not to reply!

Seriousquestion09 · 05/08/2018 09:18

I wouldn’t actually block and delete as it will give him satisfaction that he has upset you.

I’ve had ones that had no intention of meeting again but still ping pong messages (weeks or months apart) and would cancel every time I suggested doing something as friends. I think they got some sick enjoyment from it. Now in hindsight I regret answering the messages at all.

The best treatment for someone like this is to read immediately his messages as he will know (assuming it’s whatsapp) and then ignore. It will bring him down a peg or two for sure.

Wow what a wanker! Well done you!
I'd be inclined to write back

I just don't think you 'do it' for me, shame Wink
Or
Perpahs I'll text you for a booty call one day Grin
