DropItLikeASquat · 07/02/2018 22:59

what a spineless shit! it sounds like you are well shot if he can do that after 4 years together. I agree to send him a recorded delivery letter stating that if he hasn't collected it by a certain date you will be donating it to a charity shop.
hope you are okay.

How was your relationship during these four years with him?

namechange10 · 07/02/2018 23:10

Sending love and support you'll get through this either way ThanksThanks give yourself some time to process it all x

DropItLikeASquat · 07/02/2018 23:10

OP I'm so sorry to hear this. You will get through this stronger I promise. On a personal note, I can't tell you what to do, none of us can. It must be very numb for you right now so take some time, be kind to yourself while you think things through. I have been in a similar situation, I personally had to take some time to get my head around being a single parent to my children and not be in a stable relationship but I got there in the end just like you will.
You are stronger than you think x
Try to get plenty of fluids and get some rest tonight.

I think you was hoping you was tbh. Remember a baby won't save a relationship.

Onecutefox · 07/02/2018 23:12

Do you want to be a single parent to 4. I personally think you have to make decisions about this pregnancy based on you and your family’s needs. Given his behaviour, I wouldn’t consider him a part of the equation until you’ve come to own conclusion.

Chorkie96 · 08/02/2018 06:31

My ex dumped me and 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. I tried to call and text to tell him but he had blocked my number (still no idea why as we hadn't had an argument and I hadn't tried to contact him so not like I was stalking), anyway I ended up sending him via Facebook (not blocked me on that) a picture of the test with the instructions so he knew exactly what it meant and he got straight back to me. He stepped up and it's all working out well at the moment (back together) but it's certainly not something I would recommend and I decided before I let him back into my life that I was prepared to raise this baby alone because as much as I love him and trust him with my life, my disabled dd1, my money and everything I will never fully trust him or anyone else to not break my heart again. Before it felt like I couldn't be without him and couldn't imagine my life without him now I've resigned myself to just enjoying the time now because he will leave again and although it's not a 100% happy place to be at it is reality and I'd rather think like that than be blindsided again. Sorry that felt good to get all the bottled up stuff out lol. Basically what I'm saying is don't tell him anything (yet! not don't tell him at all) until you have worked out what is best for you without him in your life and then anything after that you have control over. Good luck
Big hugs x
