After nasty divorce... what to do with your rings?

Sadly, I didn't get the opportunity to shove my rings down my exes throat (LOL! ;) ) and now have a beautiful engagement ring collecting dust.

What have you all done with yours?

My ex gave me a very cheap marquisite ring and I lost that shortly after we got married. I think he paid £25 for it. I was a bit confused at the time as I was pretty sure most women do not get given £25 rings, but I didn’t like to be rude. I have recently realized how incredibly passive I am and am working on that.

My wedding ring was the cheapest he could get away with, just a band of gold. I think it’s at the bottom of a drawer somewhere, I can’t recall!

Ooh I'd definitely sell it!

Goldilocks - I loved it when people asked me what I did with my ring. I’d say ‘it’s in my forwhead’!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Pawned it and gave the money to the DC. Didn't get much for them but wanted rid.

I have my mothers ring. The marriage ended but they were still my parents and had a happy time together. We will always be a family and I love what the ring means. Please consider your children if you are unsure what to do

I can recommend somewhere to sell them in Hatton garden if anyone wants to PM me.

Sold them.

I sold mine. I was going to have them turned into some kind of pretty jewelry for our daughter but he decided to play silly buggers with maintenance so I sold them to pay the mortgage.
Yeah I got 1/5 of the value of my flawless solitaire diamond but fck it, the mortgage needed paying. I sold them to the highest bidder but bugger me that was literally 1/5 . Oh well, kept the wolf from the door for a couple of months

Thanks for all your ideas! After reading through your posts, I took mine to a jewellers and have asked him to take out some of the diamonds and replace with aquamarines so it looks more like a cocktail ring. No idea what I'll do with the loose diamonds .... maybe a pendant.
