Tattooed husband

Hi everyone.
Dh and I have been married for 4 years and have a young dd.

When I met him he was very heavily tattooed and he told me he intended to continue, which at the time I didn't think I'd have an issue with.
Over the last 2 years his neck/throat has been completely covered and he's almost finished with his head. As well as having a few small ones on his face. They are all done by top artist and some have won awards at conventions so they do look nice.

The issue I have is that he gets alot of people judging him and it makes me worry for when dd is older. I don't want her to notice how people react to him. Am I wrong to feel this way?

Just for reference dh has a good job and is a very good dad/ husband.

Thanks all

As your Dd gets older it would probably be a good idea to give her some lines to say to people/children as they inevitably question her. I'm not sure exactly what but maybe something along the lines of 'We all look different, my Dad's tattoos don't mean he's not a good person' or something simple along those lines. And gently have discussions that other may say cruel things but that doesn't mean they're true. That's what Id do anyway.Smile

Why tattoo a face?
It's the most defining physical feature of ourselves. Why would anyone want to cover it over?

My only concern would be if he wasn't a good dad or that he didn't have a job but he does, so it's your issue to deal with not his.

It's weird isn't it, I think sleeve tattoos can be nice, and going further than that look at Pete Wicks from TOWIE; he's quite tasty and stylish and pretty much the only part of his upper body not tattooed is his face.

That's because most folk equate face tattoos with psychos. Sad but true.

Society's attitude has moved on a lot over the years re tatts; take hand ones for example - another part of the body usually equated with hard nuts/lags if tattooed. I see them a lot and wouldn't flinch if say my DDs nursery teacher had them.

Face ones though - yeah, sorry, it'd make me feel uneasy.

Prejudice, eh?

Tattoos are thankfully becoming more and more socially acceptable. I have tattooed fingers and have a high level job in an office in the city which isnt an issue.
