Brave Babes - Barging through 2017 in style

Hello, I'm SweetLathyrus (Sweet for short), and I've been hopping on and off Gerald the Brave Babes Battle Bus for three years now because, like some many of us, I struggle with alcohol.

The Bus is a supportive community at all stages in their relationship with alcohol and with lots of different goals - for some, it's abstinence, for others it's moderation, for others, it's just about getting a bit of control and perspective.

So, if you think you'd like to join us, don't be shy, flag us down and jump on board and share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with; sometimes there will be silliness, but there will always be help and support.

I have a bit of boing. I'm not going to shout about it in case I scare it away, but I think I have boing.

One of my relatives has just got two baby Labs. They are the spit of LittleLab. Right down to the wee white lightning on their breasties. I cuddled them so tight. She came back to tell me she was okay. please let me think that Little chubby puppy breathed bundles of happy. And life goes on...

I didn't get photos we met them at the vets. I am angling for mam to go out and visit, so I can accompany her. They still keep a couple of Shetlands, descended from the ornery, wee black demoness who taught me to ride. Or at least hang on tightly while I screamed my way round the paddock before she tanked her way through the hedging.

I obviously have a thing for black, cantankerous beasties.

It's in Russia, joey. Far, far away. Don't worry, ma will be stickin the fit doon so she can reach the pretties. Although I suspect she's only driving so she can be out of the bus first and on the beach before me.

I know, rowie is an actual useful word. Which keeps correcting itself to Rosie. Which in fact goes very well with a rowie but that's not the point.

It is blowing a hooly here the day, not content with that, we have mucho rain. The wind makes it very stingy, like little needles.

Morning all, just checking in quickly.

Have a morning of appointments- been to therapy and now waiting to see hot physio.

Stupidly drank last night too. Really noticing the effects. It wasn't loads- probably my previous 'normal' amount. But today I'm shaky and anxious. Not worth it really, but it's also hitting home that feeling like this isn't my norm now. Want to say I won't drink tonight but I'm off tomorrow and seem to be seeking out drinking opportunities all the time. And then regretting it the next day. Stupid and illogical really!

I managed last night, think it had more to do with needing to drive at 7 this morning but managed anyway. Hopefully I'll be ok tonight

Elba just reading your post there, that's exactly how I feel after drinking now, I get so low and anxious and 9 times out of 10 start crying which makes the shakiness worse.

Hope you're ok today though, hopefully the anxiety will pass by tonight
