Don't give me a flaming for snooping. Need help from someone with a bit of computer savvy...
H search history shows two links to ashleymadison (the cheaters site),
one obv is to the homepage at
www.ashleymadison.com/app/public/index.p
but the other looks like it must be from within the site at
www.ashleymadison.com/?ac=13681&keywords=692308-1305170

This just takes me to the first link when I click on it, I have no idea what his username or password would be. Can anyone help??

Make your own profile sound fabulous (his type), and live nearby....he may contact you...

But, perhaps not. I'd be livid.

There's another thread on the go, which details how you can find all Incognito searches/sites. I bet that would be interesting. Sorry, I don't know myself how to do it.

FritzDonovan · 08/09/2016 12:23

Thanks husky, I'll have a look.
Just out of interest, what about the situation would make you livid? Would you feel the same if he'd just 'gone on for a look around ' but not told you? Trying to get some perspective, as some ppl think it may be completely innocent...

If those are the only the two URLs, they DON'T indicate he was actually inside the site. All the links from inside that site have "app" in them, even the search results:

www.ashleymadison.com/app/private/member/search/result.p?

The second URL isn't from within the site -- it looks like he did a web search or something for the name and clicked on the link. That URL is so the site knows where the click came from.

There have been ads for the site and news stories. People get curious but it doesn't mean they want to cheat. Don't judge, I have an account there.

FritzDonovan · 08/09/2016 13:44

Thanks elexis, that's really useful to know. Wish I'd read it earlier, we've just had a blazing row, he threw the computer on the floor and broke it. Dick.
I'm not judging anyone who has an account, I just don't think it would be appropriate for him to be on there.

What did he expect you to do OP, pat him on the head and said it's A ok, bloody cheek!

FritzDonovan · 08/09/2016 14:03

Yeah probably, cause he's 'chaanged...'. Ffs, was even analysing my attachment style like it's all my fault...

I don't think it is a good idea for you to encourage OP to catfish her husband.

OP I am sorry that this has happened to you Flowers I don't think he has browsed that site just out of curiosity.

Go to a site called www.survivinginfidelity.com
You should post for advice on Ashley Madison in the JFO thread. Lots of people there are tech savvy have been betrayed through AM.

tribpot · 08/09/2016 20:34

Threw the computer with the evidence of his browsing history on the floor and broke it? I wonder what might have motivated him to do that ..

FritzDonovan · 08/09/2016 21:21

Thanks sandy, I'll do that...

If you have serious doubts, get a private detective. They are not that expensive and they can give you some kind of gadget to attach to his phone or computer so u have a better idea what's going on. It's a pretty drastic step to take but I guess if you really want to know the truth that's the only way.

Be mindful that you might not like what you find. Or whether you are ready to deal with the consequences.

Good luck

NoFanJoe · 09/09/2016 00:11

Only two links? That's not someone browsing a site.

Certainly trust your instincts, and they're telling you to snoop, but you also have to be realistic about interpreting the evidence.

FritzDonovan · 09/09/2016 01:06

Nope, but taking into account history deletion and incognito browsing that's why I asked for help identifying the second link.

I do know that AM pop ups occur when looking at porn so this is quite plausibly innocent (assuming you're okay with the porn angle).
