I've name changed.

I have been looking through mine and DH's financial stuff today to try and make some savings so I've been on internet banking, telephone bills etc. for both of us. While I was on his telephone bill, I noticed that he texts the same number a LOT each month. I have no idea who he could be texting that much. I suppose it could be someone from work who he needs to speak to regularly but surely he could just phone her office through the day to speak to her? I've stupidly rang the number withholding my own and it's definately a woman. I didn't say anything in case I'm jumping to God knows what conclusions.

I probably won't see DH until late tonight to ask him and can't speak to him at the minute but it just doesn't make sense. Any way I can find out who it is without me having to speak to them in case they recognise my voice? Argh this all sounds stupid.

She can't make him meet her after work , he's not required to do that and I wouldn't like this at all. There's plenty of time during work to discuss work
. Where do they tend to meet on these catch ups ?

What's your husbands opinion of her usually ?

balding many many jobs demand more than 9-5 committment I'm afraid. I was out with a client last night. I'm still working now. It's not that simple.

Is it reasonable based on what you know of dh job, for him to tx 500 times a month? Is it reasonable for it to be a new thing?

Sorry for not coming back to this last night.

He is dedicated to his job and is the type to do anything for an easy life so if she's asked for updates he would send them. I suppose he could be texting rather than disturbing her with a phone call. Also, if it's a really long message would is count as 2 or 3 texts?

I don't really know what he thinks of her. He thinks she's good at her job I suppose, says she's moody a lot. The few times recently when I have seen them work together I haven't liked the way she spoke to him, very sharp and not called for. They didn't know I was there at the time.

I still think 500, or 600 on one bill I've seen, text messages is a lot. Even if this is harmless I need to talk to him about it because the fact I've thought it is not good. I think I'll talk to him tomorrow when he gets in a bit earlier. I'll just say I've seen how much he's text a number and ask who it is, see if he tells the truth. If he does I'll ask if it's all work related. From there I'm just going to have to lay it all out and ask if there's anything he needs to tell me at all just so I get everything out of my head. I'm not the type of person to keep things bottled up so it needs to be done.

Thanks again for all of your help and support. Sorry to the other people who have been through similar.

Really hope that this goes well and it just turns out he has hundreds of mundane work texts.
