my dh is really doing my head in at the moment. He keeps breathing all the time and sometimes he even wants to talk to me.
I am so that he won't do as i ask and just BE QUIET and stop breathing.
His mates tell him to take no notice of me and do as he likes .He should stick up for me though. All i want is absolute control of every aspect of his life-that's not too much to ask is it?

tiredemma · 07/09/2006 13:46

Good one!

tribpot · 07/09/2006 13:47

Actually, I have the opposite problem. My dh stops breathing in the night, leading to possibility he might die of congestive heart failure.

Fortunately my dh's problem can be treated, whereas you are clearly mad as a bag of snakes

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 07/09/2006 13:47

Actually, Dhs breathing did used to annoy me! It was soooo loud!! I used to tell him to breathe quietly or not at all

Hmmm we've been seperated a few months now....

1Baby1Bump · 07/09/2006 13:48

my dh breathes quite loundly when he is asleep.
most annoying.

tribpot · 07/09/2006 13:49

The machine my dh uses to keep him breathing does stop him from talking, possibility a plus point for kiwimaria?!

SherlockLGJ · 07/09/2006 13:51

TBH

I don't mind my DH breathing in,............ it is when he remembers to breathe out, that it really starts to annoy me.

misdee · 07/09/2006 13:51

mine ticks, very loudly. 24/7. drives me insane

but hey, he is alive and breathing.

You know annoying breathing can be a part of emotional and psychological abuse, Kiwimaria? Have you called Women's Aid? they may be able to help.
He is treating you like dirt - men like this NEVER change.

Imafairy · 07/09/2006 14:24

wartywarthog · 07/09/2006 15:09

Sounds to me like he's a breathe-aholic. Would he consider counselling?

sunchowder · 07/09/2006 15:35

Deffo think you should leave him immediately.

CountessDracula · 07/09/2006 15:37

stuff a pair of knickers in his mouth

ShowOfHands · 07/09/2006 15:38

Where are you kiwimaria? Do you have anybody supporting you through this?

kiwimaria · 07/09/2006 18:42

wow it's such a relief to get this off my chest .I KNEW i wasn't being unreasonable but you start doubting yourself don't you?
have been in tears this afternoon as the bas came in the room and said" do you want a cup of tea?" .I never knew he had such a cruel streak.
Anyway, i invited some friends over and we cut up his clothes and threw them in the neighbours garden! it was a brilliant laugh!
