Does anyone want to be my friend?

Pre DC I had loads of friends. I moved away when DC1 was born, which was nearly 3 years ago. I'm so lonely and would love a friend. I feel so pathetic writing that but sometimes i go days without speaking to anyone, (not counting DP) it's upsets me knowing I don't have anyone.

I'm up for friends too, especially with small children at home. I'm nowhere near you sadly OP, I am in east London.

Hissy · 28/03/2014 19:41

I'm in north Hampshire if anyone's near? Lost friends due to abusive relationship, moving abroad etc.

Now back where I grew up and know almost no-one here at all.

I'm not as big a pita as my Hissy persona may allude to, honest! :)

frogmore6 · 28/03/2014 20:25

Anyone in Berkshire /Windsor? (my son is away at school) and I am sooooooo alone and need a friend!!

TheNightIsDark · 28/03/2014 20:29

I need friends. I'm in Northamptonshire.

myroomisatip · 28/03/2014 20:33

Awww we are all so far apart and yet we all need friends.

It seems crazy to me that people are so lonely when then are so many people around. I am a carer and mostly, the people I visit only see me, or other carers every day. It is just too sad.

myroomisatip · 28/03/2014 20:37

Hissy you never come across as a PITA... I always read your posts and you speak a lot of sense.

Much appreciated by someone subjected to EA, FA and gaslighting. :) And off topic for now... I am in awe of the support that posters like you give.

Anyone in Gloucester?

I moved here and I have found it really hard to meet anyone

hiddenhome · 28/03/2014 21:18

Whereabouts are you in Northumberland? I used to work in Morpeth and I live in Durham now.

LoveBeingCantThinkOfAName · 28/03/2014 21:20

There was man fb find a friend page, don't if anyone can link to it.

Hissy · 28/03/2014 21:43

Thanks myroom :)

Being a carer is such a wonderful job, even if you don't feel as if you're valued, I know how important the job you do is! My GM had carers before she died, it made such a difference to her life!

I had to go NC with my family last year, I wanted to adopt a mum, someone to be a gm for my son, someone who'd value us.

GimmeDaBoobehz · 28/03/2014 22:10

Up to being anyone's friend who lives in the South West.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 28/03/2014 23:59

No way! I wonder if you were there when I was there?

pinkbear82 · 29/03/2014 01:24

Gimme, I'm devon. Any use?

RedFocus · 29/03/2014 07:38

I'm Hampshire, near-ish Basingstoke area. If anyone wants to chat or whatever you can pm me. All my kids are in school so it's just me and the dogs during the day. If anyone wants to start a dog walking group that would be ace! Grin

GimmeDaBoobehz · 29/03/2014 12:31

Oooh what part of Devon pink?

I am currently with my parents in Dorset, but actually live in Devon and trying to move to a bigger place.

JonSnowKnowsNothing · 29/03/2014 12:35

OP I'm in Northumberland too (not quite the same bit as you) and I don't have many friends either, due to moving about so much over the last few years. I do drive though and would happy to meet for a coffee if you're ever at a loose end?

pinkbear82 · 29/03/2014 13:17

Gimmie, I'm frequently between Exeter and Newton Abbot way. Happy to travel a little way by bus, if that's any help :)

EvenFlo · 29/03/2014 13:40

I'm in the West Midlands - I think I am the only one here!

shakinstevenslovechild · 29/03/2014 13:47

Even I live in Rugby, are you near me at all I'm always on the lookout for people I can bribe to babysit new friends Grin Grin Grin

RachaelAgnes · 29/03/2014 13:55

I'm near Stafford, but regularly in Nuneaton!! Grin

DoctorTwo · 29/03/2014 14:33

I'm on the Beds/Bucks border, if anybody fancies a coffee/tea. My hands are hairy though, but please don't let that put you off. Everybody needs friends and I don't have many, and none within about 100 miles.

Blimey, that sounds self indulgent.

GimmeDaBoobehz · 29/03/2014 14:36

I'm in Exeter too - at least half the time.

What kind of things do you like to do? Do you work/have DC?

Wycombe · 29/03/2014 14:44

Nothing daft in asking. What area do you live in?
