He has finally admitted he has anger issues, and, has asked me to buy him a book on anger management and strategies he can try to help combat this. Believe me, this is a big step for him! Could someone point me in the direction of a good one, preferably available from amazon, I've had a look but no idea what to go for.

Lovely message AF. Not judgemental at all... I thought this was a forum to discuss opinions why do I get insulted everytime people disagree with me (not just this thread), can you not hold a debate without getting defensive and attacking?

OP if your DH's issues are linked to family, a self help book will only be a quick patch up work that won't last. To go to the core of the problem imho a therapy would be a good idea but choose the therapist carefully, doing it with someone mediocre is a waste of time. Don't let the cost put you off though. See it as a long term investment in your happiness.

You get insulted EVERY time ?

You wouldn't imagine your own posting style might be a tad aggressive then ?

Doing a shout out to the "usual suspects" (whoever they are, but it's clear you have preconceived notions) is goading and inflammatory
