If you wrote a book of your life story - what would you call it?

I need some light hearted entertainment. Some of us here in relationships have been through a tough time and some of it seems unbelievable. If you were to write your life story, what would you title the book? Give me a title and a brief explanation why....

Mine would be:

An Elephant is for Life, Not just for Christmas

my thread's about my husband walking out on me started with How do you reconcile while ignoring the elephant in the room, then Sod the elephant looks like its over, followed by Not an elephant in sight, and currant thread How do you eat an elephant? one bite at a time.. So I have kept an elephant theme for my thread titles, so people know its me (bit like Lou and her Chutney..).

Pinner-I would buy yours lol..

I also wonder.....

onaroll · 30/08/2012 20:32

Why - thank you very much !
Not a title , just acknowledgement to fuzz pig.

'laughing on the outside, screaming inside'
Is another possible title.

Annunziata · 30/08/2012 20:40

I reckon mine would make a good soppy movie. Live next door to one another, start going out at 14 and happily ever after (touches wood, blesses self etc).

Ooh can it be called Crazy for You and the song can be the soundtrack?

Mine would be "How to survive a toxic family - with a sense of humour intact"

Or - "Things can only get better - and they did."

GentleOtter · 30/08/2012 20:59

It could be worse - oh, hang on..

"Other Plans"
Based on the truism that life is what happens while you're making other plans.
I planned to:
? Have a brilliantly meteoric career, buy a lovely house and become impregnated by some genetically desirable bloke who would never know.
~ Instead I started the career with Twunt#1 in tow, had a successful (not brilliant) career in a less exciting area of the industry, and used contraception until I found out I wasn't actually very fertile.
? Travel loads, have fabulous adventures with my darling child, and set up a happy home with a wonderful man, who would ideally be black.
~ I dumped the wonderful, ideally black man for Twunt #1. I travelled quite a bit and did have some adventures.
? Study philosophy to a high level. Author thought-provoking, ground-shifting books.
~ I am currently reading "Philosophy for Dummies" Grin I authored a few travel books, breaking no ground whatever.
? Always be strong, independent and joyful.
~ I married two twunts and, just in case they didn't abuse me enough, shared a flat with another twunt and worked for yet another.
? Dance into old age, adventurous and rich, have lifelong friends and die laughing.
~ I am poor, disabled and isolated.
Hrrmmph!

I could make a book out of it, though ... I could ...

Tusheroons and Clods
my grandad's market trader slang for half-crowns and pennies-sums up life really mainly dull but useful coppers with occasional flashes of silver

garlicnuts · 30/08/2012 22:18

Ooh, that's poetic, greylady :)

foolonthehill · 30/08/2012 22:38

Part 1:"Not waving but drowning" fools experience of marriage and children with the Nowhere Man: Lived this one

Part 2:"Riding the Waves" the view from the hill, fool gains a new perspective: Living this one

Part 3:"Life's a beach" fool and the little ones find a safe place to Live, love and flourish. Hoping this one will be along some time in the near future.

And the Nowhere Man is NOT a bit like you and me!!!!
