ex-boss (like every other man I know) is an idiot. He text me weeks and weeks ago asking how I was etc - no mention of job. He then sent another one later that day saying we should meet up, catch up etc. I replied to say definitely, & to let me know when he was free. I'm still waiting for his reply . I think we can safely say that job offer won't be forthcoming - or certainly not anytime soon!

Checked ywk's photo account ( that he doesnt remember i have) NO photos of my town. There should be, becuse that was the reason he was coming. Pics for one of his websites. But there are none, and he usually processes them withint 24 hrs, so they should be there. And they are not.

I think it went well. But yoiu know how that doesnt count for anything. First thing he said (i spotted him first and walked over) was ' oh wow, your goregous' and then appolgised.. Looks wise, as expected.Hes not ugly or awful but probably on the lower end of adverage ( that makes me sound terrible,. im sorry) BUT hes very nice. and funny. and interesting. Paid me a ton of compliments from my hair to my boots ( my very very worn in, battered and lon their last legs biker boots....) dropped into the conversation that hes lucky to be on a date with a gorgeous woman..... touched my arm a few times.
It was s ashame we didnt have long, he said he had wanted to take me to the music shop to show me some stuff, so he wins points there for thinking of something to DO, rather than nothing. And the he asked if i would like to go with him another time. and then he asked again if id like to do it again maybe. I sid yes to both, balls in his court and now i wait.....

we dont know if it went well yet. you know what its like. I think its fair to say he definatley fancied me. He said i looked amazing and he liked my ' style' ( i was wearing old skinny jeans, a faded pinky grey vest top ( bit booby) black boyfriend cardigan and a a long scarf thing. And my battered boots ( everything is a few years old....)

Like - what i wear all the time.

anyway - he was nice to me. I dont know weather i fancy him at this point, though he had nice teeth ( always check post snape hen teeth gate) and i enjoyed his company, so would like to hang out with him again.

AND - then i went into primark and brought:

Long strapless maxi dress
sandles in a sage green to match some print on the dress
a pink sparkly ring
dress for DD
union jack flip fips for DD
brown sandle things for dd
pair of sunglasses for me
flower hair band for dd
2 long scarf things
a very very reduced pink slanket type thing ( down to £5, put away for DD for xmas)

grand total £42!!!!!!!!! and thats almost as exciting as a good date!

I dont know about snogging him, it wasnt instant lust, but i wasnt expecting that. But there was something about him and he was fun, and nice. which counts for alot.

I have been reading this thread and feeling so much better about my non successes with men and generally very gloomy. Reading that I'm not alone has been heartening and helped me loads. Ive convinced myself that I don't appear attractive to anyone because I get limited interest on the Internet -the odd hi is about it. I joined okcupid after hearing pof is the pits and to be honest it wasn't much better, or better at all. So I came off the sites.
But in my heart I know I'm not bad looking and i dess well and I too look at the profiles of good looking men yet never contact them. I wonder if they are not contacting me then they must be contacting women who are so much more attractive. I managed to get a few messages going with one bloke who told me that women he dated from pof had told him they were inundated with messages (I didn't ask if they were IE).
I have had some surreal experiences messaging men who throughout the whole conversation never once mentioned anything to do with me, my profile. Quite bizarre. I guess they are bored. I've stopped doing that now.
And my current self absorption isn't attractive.
I did get chatted up in the kitchen at work this morning. Then my manager told me he had just returned from a suspension following bad behaviour so it rained on my parade a little.
I would like to feel calmer. Just generally calmer.

I have now had my final counselling session and feel it has been very worth while.

Gardener came earlier on when I was out and I now have a useable garden instead of a jungle. Plus I think he has disposed of the falling apart bookcase I had abandoned in the garden as well as taking away what possibly literally was a ton of garden rubbish for hardly any more money :)

And it's hot. I have on a sun dress and am enjoying the weather :)

Am possibly In a good mood today :)
