Watching dh be a sweetie and all capable and nurturing with the children just makes me melt. And when he says, about anything, 'OK, don't worry, I'll fix it' and then does. Last night it was the internet connection, can you imagine my gratitude?!

JoolsToo · 18/01/2006 13:34

sounds like you're the one doing the sucky upping cod!

Hmmmm.
Has he been texting the hoover? Does he look at internet sites which show hoovers posing out of their packaging?
Some men DO have perfectly innocent relationships with their hoover, and i think it says a lot for your relationship that you can apprecieat that he mended it withut being jealous or suspicious!

WideWebWitch · 18/01/2006 13:34

Am I the only one who, when I read the thread title, was a little concerned just what Cod's DH's relationship with the hoover was...?

clearing drains of leaves wearing big gloves

iota · 18/01/2006 13:36

dh dismantled our dyson one day and laid it out in pieces on the patio

it had been making an unpleasant smell for a while and we couldn't seem to find out why....

once the dyson was fully dismantled we discovered the whole of the insides were splattered with decaying flesh - I think my aged mother had hoovered up one of the cat's sacrificial offerings.

After scrubbing and blasting the whole thing with the garden hose we left it to dry and dh reassembled it.

now that's what I call fixing the hoover

When he changes a lightbulb, without having to climb on a stool, chair or ladder.

Vvvrrrooom, vrrooom, baby!

edam · 18/01/2006 13:44

I love it when he just gets on and does something useful rather than having to be asked/told to do it and then not doing it. When he just notices what needs doing (like hoovering the study after I'd spent all day tidying it).

NotActuallyAMum · 18/01/2006 13:53

More often than not, my DP is home before me so he does dinner and it's on the table when I walk in from work. It makes me feel really spoilt and looked after

And this morning (he's on afternoons today) he got up and cleaned/hoovered/dusted the whole of the upstairs so that I'm free to watch the football match tonight, bless him
