I know I should just ignore it but it has really hit me for six. Just keep crying about it as I do believe it to be right. I am being really stupid right?

OK, I read cards, for myself and for others. I also firmly believe that there are people with psychic abilities. I have had incredible readings from people, I have also had cut and paste piles of shite.
Everything the OP has said about her experience tells me that her friend was one of the latter. No palm reader would ever tell you something so concrete and definite. Because we are all responsible for our own destinies, which we can change, with our own free will.

If you firmly believe that you or anyone else has psychic abilities, there'a a million bucks waiting for you when you prove it!

You would be better off spending your money on seeing a counsellor who will help you feel more confident about yourself. I can guarantee that once you have more self esteem you will have no problem attracting a partner who will love you for yourself.

No palm reader or psychic needs to be paid to be able to tell that you are single because people (mainly women) consult them when they are worried about being on their own or having relationship problems. Those of us who are happily settled wouldn't even think of bothering with such rubbish.

They always prey on insecurity and vulnerable people. It's all total crap, rise above it and ditch the 'friend'.

Jazzicatz Tell your co-worker that you've been looking into palmistry too, and that you've just found out that 'the sight' runs in your family. Grab her palm and say "Oooh. Oh Dear. Well, I'd better not tell you about all of that as I think it's just better you don't know. But I can foresee the ending of a friendship. Does the letter 'J' mean anything to you?"

Then throughout the day give her occasional 'sad' looks as you reflect on the terrible fate that you 'saw' in her palm.

Maybe then she'll learn not to talk hurtful bollocks!

If it makes you feel any better, I shelled out £35 quid for a reading with a psychic earlier this year, only to be told that I should concentrate on work and learn to be happy alone as there "was no love interest in my future".
Only did it because I was lonely and desparate. 22 years with a fuckwit of a man then on my own for ages.
I am now dating a younger, emotionally literate, financially secure man who makes me laugh and feel safe, and wanted.
So yah boo sucks to you, Mr Psychic.
If I were you, I would carry out the ancient psychic ritual of sticking two fingers up at the bugger that did the reading. It can be very healing.
