Do (m)any of you have an aesthetic preference for circumcised?

(Sorry my last post was inappropriate--I'd forgotten about all of you at work.)

I'm curious to gather opinions on this, as I'm scheduled to have the 'op. gulp

But how is not having to wash as often a good thing? Hmm surely you want it washed often enough that it makes no difference either way?

nooka · 23/09/2011 03:04

I'm just struggling with the idea that any penis could be aesthetically pleasing Grin. dh is as nature intended and I think would be sad without his foreskin. Not sure I'd really care either way, but I'd never want either him or ds to be circumcised.

Yes

barkwithnobite · 23/09/2011 21:30

Cut is cleaner, but difficult to wank....

MardyArsedMidlander · 24/09/2011 12:14

Much much much prefer Cut- but it's a difficult one to bring into a conversation at the start of a new relationship Grin

I mean, if men like the bigger breasted woman- they can see straightaway that's not what they're getting with me. But it's a bit more difficult for me to ahem discover my preferences....

toddlerama · 24/09/2011 12:23

Only ever seen one, and it's cut. No complaints.

Bumpsadaisie · 24/09/2011 13:16

My DH is. I have had another who wasn't. Don't feel strongly.

Am expecting a son any day now, and no way will he be having it done.

barkwithnobite · 24/09/2011 13:45

Toddlerama...wow! Only ever seen one?

Malificence · 24/09/2011 13:46

Why wow? Hmm

I've only ever seen one as well, my DH of 26 years. I don't have sons so there you go.

toddlerama · 26/09/2011 19:58

I'm married to my first boyfriend and have daughters....so yeah. Grin

It's un PC to say but I am put off by foreskins. Have been with H for 6 years and he's cut, we had a split and I shagged a couple of guys who were uncut and I was put off. Aesthetically, cut looks tidier and neater, and an uncut cock has a smell, even when straight out of the shower IMO.

wurzel2014 · 04/09/2014 19:12

Sorry, an old thread but it caught my eye and seeing as I've just been circumcised (at the age of 49) I thought I'd add my own perspective.

I've never actually had any medical issues with my foreskin - it was never too tight and I never had any difficulty keeping it clean.

The issue I had was more psychological - the older adult member of my family were all cut. I was not. I kind of grew up thinking that a grown man's penis would look like a circumcised penis and the ones with foreskin were what little boys had.

Of course, when I grew up, this never happened but that idea was planted in my mind and I'd never felt right about it. I never liked exposing it in changing rooms and I was very much a keep it under the covers sort of person when it came to sex.

Now, just with one little snip I feel completely liberated and am happy with it already - even though it looks like it's been chewed by a rottweiler at the moment. Still got the stitches in but it's nowhere as sore as I thought it would be (I'd been put off once in the past by a female doctor who said it was a very painful procedure for an adult male).

Got to wait for 4 weeks before I can have intercourse - not really worried about loss of sensation as I wore my foreskin back anyway when I had it so the helmet is already quide tough - and I've probably got to wait 2 before I can even have a little play with it but I'm sure it'll be worth waiting for.

Sugary · 05/09/2014 07:01

I think the lack of sensation comes with time. Apparently the sensitive area - underneath the foreskin - becomes less sensitive because it is more exposed.

I'm quite anti surgery for aesthetic purposes - it's the principle - but if it's a medical, then so be it! I wouldn't be put off...

lauranorder50 · 05/09/2014 11:53

I can't stand vandalised willies. I had a boyfriend who was circumcised. I didn't have a clue what I was doing with his cock. I just tried hard with the bit of foreskin he had left. As a previous poster said, it's harder to wank a circumcised cock. The more excited he gets, the less there is to stroke back and forth with.

The circumcised cock looks kind of (odd) naked when it's....um...naked.

Albeit he's the one that asked me to lick where his foreskin was once joined to his cock.....as useful technique for relationships in the future. Once I'd dumped the left handed vegetarian prat.

kentishgirl · 05/09/2014 12:27

I've known both and prefer uncut, but it wasn't exactly a dealbreaker or anything. I didn't gnash my teeth and wail when I found out chappie had a cut one. I do find there is a difference in function and sensitivity with the cut ones, that's why I don't prefer them, but on the whole it only makes a small difference. I've only needed to use lube sometimes with the cut ones and not the uncut because they are generally drier and don't have the glide factor the foreskin creates during intercourse (Sorry, TMI).

Looks-wise, a nice clean happy-to-see-me one is good, cut or uncut.

On the sensitivity front - there really really is a difference. I think cut men deny this for two reasons - if it was done young they are used to it and don't know any different. If it was done as an adult they might notice a bit of difference from the loss of nerve endings/tissues to stimulate. But I think it's the long term effect of the glans being exposed that makes the biggest loss in sensitivity - and I think that takes decades. The two I knew were both done young - the 30odd year old glans was pretty much the same as any other cock. The 60-odd year old glans had quite thick, tough skin after a lifetime of exposure, and it was quite insensitive as these things go.

VestaCurry · 05/09/2014 12:34

Whether they are cut or uncut, I still find them, and the bags behind fairly unattractive tbh.

Hakluyt · 05/09/2014 12:38

Even if I did have an aesthetic preference for the circumcised, I would keep quiet about it, because there is something deeply weird about preferring something which has been surgically altered rather than in it's natural state.

BarbarianMum · 05/09/2014 12:39

Aesthetically I prefer cut (although that played no part in my decision to sleep with and later marry dh). Having said that I have not had my ds' circumcised as I don't think it is a good thing to do unless medically necessary.

LividofLondon · 05/09/2014 12:57

It's swings and roundabouts. I find uncut easier to wank, but cut doesn't collect urine and smeg like uncircumcised does (although that's not a problem if the man washes before expecting sex). With uncut new partners I am a little anxious the first time I go down on them in case they don't realise how quickly trapped piss goes stale and stinky. Thankfully I'm not shy so said to my currant DP before hand that I expect him to be aware of what lurks under his foreskin (and how close my nose will be!), and he's always lovely and fresh.

Aesthetically it makes no difference to me. Cocks come in all shapes and sizes; a neat and tidy one is a neat and tidy one regardless of foreskin.

hellsbellsmelons · 05/09/2014 13:08

I've only ever seen one as well - current OH, and I much prefer it.
But you lot have made me LOL reading this!

CarryOn90 · 05/09/2014 13:24

Had a boyfriend once who had had the cut for medical reasons. I MUCH preferred it. Looked so much nicer and neater. Foreskins are not the most gorgeous of things

CarryOn90 · 05/09/2014 13:25

Oh and kept cleaner

wurzel2014 · 05/09/2014 19:56

Ironic isn't it? Now I'm cut I read a thread full of comments from girls who say they prefer the uncut penis. Before, it was the other way around.

Today has been the first day I've had a chance to have a good look at it now that the dressing is off - it looks a little scary but there's a lot of bruising and swelling which will go down soon hopefully.

I also managed to tear the wound this morning when I rolled over in bed - blood everywhere & I was back in hospital to get it cauterised.

Think the healing process is going to be a lot more drawn out than I thought. The actual operation itself and the post op pain wasn't much at all and I think it got me thinking it was all going to be a bit of a breeze. In more pain after this morning's mishap than I've been at any time.

TongueTwist · 05/09/2014 20:40

I don't know about a preference, but DP's penis is as nature intended and I find it very beautiful Smile

TongueTwist · 05/09/2014 20:43

comments from girls

wurzel, I suspect most posters here are actually women.

Anyway, hope your old boy heals up sharpish.
