How would you feel?

Honesty needed now, impartial factual advice, no beating around the bush.

I will start tomorrow being normal, promise, wont show him this thread though, that would start the day being not normal.

I find it really difficult to pay him compliments, when i do they sound sarcastic, i think i will just send him some flowers to be honest.

ahh you're so like me fairyfly! i feel very self-conscious if i try and say anything nice to anyone! lol and end up sounding like i am taking the piss

strangely, i find it much easier to talk to dp when we are either in bed in the dark, or driving.
i think it may be the lack of eye contact or something...

nightowl · 20/11/2005 23:56

now if a bloke said that to me i would immediately think "wanker" "isnt interested and trying to take the easy way out".

but now if i said that to a bloke it would mean:

a: im used to being on my own and doing everything myself and having a man there makes me feel like a sap.
b: im a bit scared of being hurt and so therefore really try not to like anyone too much, if i do it makes me miserable and i convince myself i should get rid of them before they do it to me.
c: i always get the impression that having feelings makes me weak and vulnerable. i know it doesnt, but i cant shake that. i like to be in control. in fact, i went through a stage of promptly dumping anyone i started to care about as i didnt want the hassle.

i think actually, maybe i should have been male?

tell him then! go and wake him up and tell him.
