What do you wish on your Ex?

Not a lot... here.
Its taken 3-5 years to feel good about it all.
I have to say I wish him nothing good, but as usual, he has come up smelling of Roses. Grrh ! He always lands on his feet (very annoying) and financially is doing better than he has ever done.
As for me, its the usual, . . . . counting every penny!

Syphilis
And that the enormity of what he did to us hits him one day like a ton of bricks
And that he regrets abandoning his children

LucretiaInShadows · 16/06/2011 12:30

X1 - love, happiness, peace and success

X2- health, happiness and love

X3 - scabies, crabs, baldness, BO, milk that's always off, tea that's always stewed, an inexplicable nasty smell, and for him to know that a) he was wrong about me; I'm not stupid or lazy, I succeeded where he said I never would (academically and professionally) and b) I'm with somebody now who's kind, loving and honest, who's not sleeping with anyone else.

My ex treated us terribly and since he left his life has been horrendous (karma). I wish him some self awareness. I wish him well because he is the way he is because of his upbringing.

BurningBright · 16/06/2011 12:50

I wish him everything in life that he deserves.

Whatever that mey be.

BurningBright · 16/06/2011 12:51

may be, not mey be

MidnightsChild · 16/06/2011 13:11

I don't hate any ex ... none of them have set out to hurt me, or wilfully break my heart. They were all good people with their own issues and I do wish them content in their new lives.

One ex - the love of my life - I just wish he was still alive. Even though we haven't been a couple for quite some time, I cherished his continuing friendship and the fact that he always believed in me and in my ability to do anything I set my mind to. He saw the person I could be and that always gave me tremendous confidence. I miss hearing his voice (because it felt like coming home) and wish that his voicemail message wasn't the only place left to hear it.

LatherRinseRepeatAsNeeded · 16/06/2011 13:22

My ex was a shit, but I all I wish him is that he finds someone who can make him happy.

sofadweller · 16/06/2011 18:33

A double decker bus and no one around to assist

mumof4sons · 16/06/2011 18:52

That the OW whom he left me for leaves him an old lonely man when she finds someone more her age.

And karma bites him in the arse.

sharbie · 16/06/2011 18:53

happiness, the art of self reliance and a lovely new partner

WineAndPizza · 16/06/2011 21:36

that he wakes up one day and realises how bloody good he had it when we were together! and is sorry for being such a dick.

i don't want to hear from him when he does though.

Wisedupwoman · 16/06/2011 21:58

That from now on he ages in dog years.

jasper · 16/06/2011 23:18

love, health, peace, joy

maristella · 16/06/2011 23:22

just karma Wink

Move on with your life, and karma will do it for you Grin

Hatesponge · 16/06/2011 23:42

To my DS's dad, nothing. He has managed to do quite well fucking up his own life since we split 3 years ago without me wishing anything bad upon him. With me he had a family, a huge house, good lifestyle, a successful business and no money worrries. Now his business has folded, he's back to working at day rate, sleeping on the sofa at his mums and has no money for a social life. Oh well....

To my most recent ex, only that he should remember he has the right to be happy, and to hope he is or will be, however his life turns out.

2rebecca · 17/06/2011 08:10

Karma is a myth.
Some people are born into wealthy stable families, do well at school, get good jobs and have an easy generally pleasant ride through life, whilst others have poor aloholic parents, aren't so bright/ motivated at school, mix with people who are a bad influence, end up on dole/ crap job/ in and out of prison.
Fateand luck play a major part in most people's lives, although self motivation is also important, but comes more easily if you have motivated parents.
Karma would imply the poor are poor because they are bad.

sharbie · 17/06/2011 08:13

well said 2rebecca and quite right.
where does karma fit in with disabled children/babies??

AnyF · 17/06/2011 08:50

I use "karma" in this sense, not in a "luck" sense but in that if you treat people badly on the way up, don't expect to be received well on your way down

In other words, treat others as you would like to be treated

Of course, disadvantaged people (who have no choice in the matter) don't come into that particular definition, IMO

GreenTeapot · 17/06/2011 09:05

Ex 1 - I just wished for his remorse but I got it when he admitted (to my DP! Hmm) that he'd made a mistake in treating me with so little respect and that it was his loss in the end. I have no bad feelings towards him now because he was young and stupid and has paid many times over for his error, and I truly feel sorry for what he has had to go through.

Ex 2 - I wish him all the happiness in the world, because I wasn't right for him and I didn't treat him fairly. He's a wonderful, lovely man and now has a wife and young family, and I really wish him all the best.

I have been lucky by the sounds of things. :)

oldwomaninashoe · 17/06/2011 09:06

I would wish that my exH would one day contact me and apologise for the way he treated me.

crispyseaweed · 17/06/2011 17:21

Yes, that would be nice oldwomaninashoe.... my ex would never in a million years apologize......pigs might fly ??...huh !

Love, happiness and peace.

Despite me being the one who they hurt (not to mention the kids with EXp), I wish this for all my exes.

I really hope they get themselves sorted out and find what it is they are looking for.

M0naLisa · 18/06/2011 12:13

I hope his GF treats him like shit, i hope she is over protective, checks his phone, takes his debit card from him, tells him who he can talk to and where he can go and with whom, i hope she makes his life a misery and as the saying Goes Love Is Blind and he will find out exactly how i felt. the utter selfish pathetic nasty vile bastard Grin
