I'm going to miss him. Sound of the 70s has become a weekly fixture for me, usually live. I did try the Rock Show, but couldn't get on with the music. HIs presenting style is just marvellous. Thank goodness Whispering Bob Harris is taking over SOTS. He's good too, and he knows his stuff.

I hope he and Tiggy have a decent amount of time together once he can rest more. He sounds very frail these days.

Every year there's a sgt Pepper tribute to all the people who've passed that year

This was done a few days ago. It already needs updating

I am so sorry Johnnie has passed away.

He was always there!

I loved his 'Drivetime' show he did years ago.

He was so calm and lovely.

I’m so sad what a lovely man and the background to much of my life.

Sending strength to Tiggy and his son. RIP Jonny.

Really lovely tribute programme to Johnnie Walker this afternoon. It would have been his 80th birthday today.

2 hours long. I'm halfway through. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0029mb5

Sounds of the 70s was also remembering Johnnie (haven't heard it yet). I'm still listening to SOTS but it's not the same. Bob Harris is doing a good job, but Johnnie was one of a kind.
