2.15pm - on now.

It’s just …

I can hear my heart thumping.

Liked this programme when it was only 15 minutes. This is a fabulous extension. But I’m going to be crying by the end.

Yesterday’s was amazing. Heart in mouth stuff. Writing, directing, acting - I was fully convinced and right there in the moment, trying not to shout out and alarm people in neighbouring gardens!

I suppose it’s in the nature of emergency services work that things are necessarily episodic - it becomes a little frustrating when you don’t always hear the conclusion of a story, but it can also seem a tiny bit pat (is that the word?) when you do.

But the ongoing story of Carrie’s personal life and how it intersects with her work does tie it all together.

Great, light-footed afternoon listening.

I’m loving this too, totally recommend!

I had it on. I welled up at Gap Finders today. Blush

Thanks for flagging this, I'd have missed it otherwise. Once again really enjoyed it but why is she still with Ian!

Oh my - finally listened to Pt 2. And they did follow up, a couple of things at least. Rather different pace to Pt 1, but so absorbing.

Yep. Just about to make a coffee and start listening.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 23/09/2025 14:53

OMG!

That was all very dramatic! Gripping stuff though.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 23/09/2025 15:08

Have to say, apart from all the heart in mouth stuff, I was questioning her domestic decisions given the logistical difficulties they already have.

Very absorbing all round!

And we're back! Second part on now.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 24/09/2025 14:24

This one feels like a continuation of The Archers!

It was the week of the mega-flood a decade ago that made me give up listening to The Archers. It was just too much.

nauticant · 24/09/2025 14:30

"Is your husband bleeding at all?"
"Yes, he's bleedin' infuriating."

Hahahahaha.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 24/09/2025 14:51

Oh my God - this is even more terrifying at the petrol station!

OP posts:
nauticant · 24/09/2025 15:00

That was rather dark. Anyway, it's over now. I think I'll go for a lie down.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 24/09/2025 15:14

Today?!?!

Oh, wow - I had no idea. Will catch up later.

Hope they’ve maintained the quality of previous series.

I enjoyed today's episode. I really enjoy Life Lines. It's similar to the one set in the police station which I can't remember the name of, but that was really good too.

nauticant · 07/05/2026 14:18

Part 2 has just started now:
