If you are in your mid 30s what station do you listen to?

As a teen and young adult I listened to Kiss 100 or capital.

Can't bare kiss 100 anymore since I guess I am no longer the target audience.

If I do listen to the radio I tend to listen to heart fm ... pop music, abit of chat. But it's a bit repetitive.

Does anyone have an recommendations for me to listen ?

Radio 4 and 6 music. Also a french station. Probably not your taste.

IndraOnTheMountain · 16/06/2021 08:36

As above! Radio 4 for chat, 6 music otherwise

Surfisup · 16/06/2021 08:38

Good taste Indra Smile

ItsAboutTimeForANameChange · 16/06/2021 08:39

Radio 4 during the day - as background noise to WFH.

Greatest hits, magic, smooth when I want actual music

Yogaposer · 16/06/2021 08:40

Smooth FM.

User135644 · 16/06/2021 08:41

Smooth or one of the Absolute Radio channels for music, or Radio 2.

I mostly listen to podcasts though.

PlanetTeaTime · 16/06/2021 08:45

I'm only 30 so probably don't qualify, but I listen to either Radio 4 or Radio 1 depending on my mood

My partner is mid thirties and listens to Radio 2

BakeOffRewatch · 16/06/2021 08:56

Same age and listening history. Still Capital in the car, but can’t bare KISS either. There’s a specific KISStory channel now, which would suit us. I let Spotify do it for me now! Chat wise, I listen to Times radio.

Swearwolf · 16/06/2021 08:59

I can't stand radio 4! I usually cycle between radio 1 and Heart, depending on what's on.

cancancan · 16/06/2021 09:00

I mainly listen to Spotify now but I'm getting fed up of looking for playlists 😂

Only podcast I listen to is chris and Rosie Ramsey.... I don't find podcasts easy to listen to when working as you need to actually listen!

LBC or Kisstory

ZombeaArthur · 16/06/2021 09:02

I listen to Radio X when I’m working. I really enjoy Chris Moyles in the morning, which is surprising as I couldn’t stand him when he was on Radio 1 when I was younger.

StarryNight468 · 16/06/2021 09:02

I listen to radio one and two, I will put on kiss or heart if there isn't a good song playing on those two, and I like Sam FM.

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 16/06/2021 09:45

I hate adverts on the radio which limits the choice a lot!

I'm late thirties and tbh only really listen to the radio in the car - I flick between BBC 1/2/6 depending on my mood. Despite not being connected to the military I used to really like BFBS (armed forces radio) - great tunes and no ads - but then they took it off DAB Sad

PawsQueen · 16/06/2021 09:58

Capital
Absolute 90s
Absolute country
In demand

yumscrumfatbum · 16/06/2021 10:01

I'm late forties and I listen to Radio 1. I can't bear the ads and repetition on local radio and I like to hear new music all the time, I 'm not keen on too much chat either!

rbe78 · 16/06/2021 10:17

Radio 6 for music, Radio 4 otherwise

VoyageInTheDark · 16/06/2021 10:21

Radio 2. Sometimes Absolute Radio 90s but I hate adverts

Bramble88 · 16/06/2021 10:28

Mostly Radio X and a little bit of Radio 2 for chat

DeePlume · 16/06/2021 10:32

Absolute radio

christdoinghisunspecifiedhobby · 16/06/2021 13:50

Kisstory mainly but I don't really listen to the radio much these days. Spotify is on constantly. I like using the song radio to get a playlist of songs along similar lines to one I'm in the mood for, and I like the daily mix and weekly release radar playlists. I more than get my money's worth from it.

MrsD28 · 16/06/2021 13:58

Classic FM - I started listening when DS was a baby and DH and I just prefer it now. Though when the ads come on it is pretty clear that we are NOT the target demographic.

MsJuniper · 16/06/2021 14:08

I'm mid 40s and listen to Radio 1. Occasionally delve into Radio 2 when it's an ex-R1 DJ.

Hate radio ads and I like a bit of chat and to hear whatever the latest music is. Greg James is an absolute treasure.

DoucheCanoe · 16/06/2021 14:11

Local station, Radio 1 for Scott Mills or Absolute Classic Rock here.

IsThePopeCatholic · 16/06/2021 14:14

Radio 4, radio 5 (not the sports), world service
