All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you think Phoebe is a genius, or other unusual views.

I put the BOOM! emoticon in the title as I thought it could transition into a vague likeness of a virus if we're still going by early May, when we expect some wild contortions from the production team to get Ambridge back in synch with the rest of the world. I think I would have preferred them to ignore it altogether but I suppose they couldn't.

Bizarre episode from my past. I once developed a relationship with a chap I met through work. After a few dates he stayed over but I discovered he couldn't/wouldn't dtd because he had an infatuation with the woman who plays Elizabeth Archer. She was in some tv advert at the time (this was a long time ago). He had met and had a relationship with a girl who looked like her but she had dumped him and he never got over it. Weird mixed up bloke.

I quite like Elizabeth as I think she did me a favour ...

She is delightful Ursula. Did he bear a strong resemblance to Nigel?

Seems a good moment to post/repost the latest BBC Archers feature on Lynda. Beware photos!

(My idea of Lynda doesn't resemble the actress much, but they wear similar clothes.)

Sorry but I've also just remembered that the girl who dumped him (who looked like the woman who play Elizabeth) came from somewhere mentioned in the shipping forecast so he used to lie awake at night to listen to it. And then get depressed about it.

What did Three of Weevils say up there? No-one's mentioned it an the post has been deleted. I'm delighted that Josh was right about the sheep. I wonder what Pip and the Dopeys will say if/when they hear about that.

Gosh, that doesn't narrow it down much. Are you sure it wasn't somewhere on the inshore coastal areas.

Actually I'd imagine Pip and the Dopeys would be fine as they'd take it as further proof of the superiority of Brookfield. Even Josh can spot something from somewhere else missed.

Three of Weevils was just making their usual broad brush attack on every Archers character they could shoehorn Ito their post. I didn’t read all of it, I must admit, I had some paint that needed watching while it dried.

That was a busy episode! By my calculation it was last Friday's cliffhanger.
How could they dangle the possibility of MeAndEd in front of our noses then cruelly snatch it away again?

Can someone explain to me about Lynda. How come she was so cruel to Freddie and said that she wished he had left her to die but yet she forgives Blake? It should be the other way round: be cruel to Blake about his stupidity but forgive Freddie for his well-meaning but misguided (in her eyes) deed.

TBH I just found it annoying, despite Ed's rare flash of insight. They don't work together because they want very different things. Emma doesn't want to be Clarrie in 30 yrs time but Ed is only ever going to be Eddie, living hand to mouth relying on Emma to do the multi shift just like Clarrie.

So now Emmur has been dumped twice by Ed. Perhaps now they can both move on and build their own lives.

Indeed. Gavin just gets nastier and nastier.

Poor Blake.

Freddie isn't in hospital and although he was junior to her in the staff (and in age of course) Lynda will see him as her social equal. Whereas Blake is - well she wouldn't say inferior, but less advantaged than she is. So Freddie is a safe target for her to let off steam, he's not ill and won't suffer if she has a go at him. Also they shared the experience, they are linked now and this gives her licence.

She probably feels some kind of responsibility towards Blake .
I'm worried now that Roy will be so pissed off he won't report back to Lynda and she won't be able to start sleuthing from her hospital bed. Which is what she probably needs, occupational therapy.
