Bolloxfest is imminent. Will this thread make it to the big day?

X'ed!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/08/2014 20:16

ha! lizzie could give her some tips

CuttedUpPear · 27/08/2014 20:29

I predict a Xmas building-burn. Thereby evoking days of yore and linking the past with the present. ...

woooo

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/08/2014 20:32

will a firebomb be involved?

oooh, I know, Roy rushes in to rescue liz, which he does, but the polyester is easily ignited and he dies thus leading to a miserable xmas and a conflicted hayley

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/08/2014 20:33

Would have to be a cosy dinner party first....

Have you killed off Brian Cutted?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/08/2014 20:36

Actually that wouldn't be bad enough as revenge. Brian's old.

Would have to be Jenny's favourite child....

ErrolTheDragon · 27/08/2014 20:36

I've totally missed the Carol thing during the hols. Confused

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/08/2014 20:37

No!! We can't kill off brian!! There are sooooo many that could be killed off first

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/08/2014 20:38

Please pick debbie, please pick debbie...fingers crossed

ErrolTheDragon · 27/08/2014 20:45

What would be the point of killing off Debbie (or Kate) - they're never around anyway.

But definitely not Brian! That would be nearly as bad as them killing off Nigel.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/08/2014 20:50

Either Adam or Alice is favourite child.

Debbie probably reminds her too much of the ghastly beginnings of Ruairi. And Kate abandoned hearth and home.

She's closer than ever to Alice. (Perhaps that's why Alice appears to have every other day off work - so we can grow to love her...) But Adam? Adam is Jenny's headstrong young womanhood. He's her independent life, before she was anyone's wife.

If they conflagrate lovely Adam I will never listen again.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/08/2014 20:54

I just hate debbie. it would make me so happy if she disappeared permanently

i also hate kate but feel a visit from her after the fall of Roy could be very amusing

Davros · 27/08/2014 21:24

Still half way through catching up with last Sunday's film and was explaining to DH about Roy being on the roof at LL. Only I called him Roy Fucker! Made me larf, sorry if someone has already thought of it, can't read whole thread yet, got to go back to page 24!

CuttedUpPear · 27/08/2014 22:14

No! Not dedding Brine. He is great in a horrible old tory way.
And we share the same birthday Grin

Selks · 27/08/2014 22:40

"He is great in a horrible old tory way"

This ^ Grin. I have some affection for Brine, but would find him unbearable in real life. I would be sad if he was dedded, however!

PrincessFiorimonde · 28/08/2014 00:09

Going back a bit (only just caught up with this thread), MrsCB said, 'So, do you think they had this [Elizabeth and Roy] all mapped out when Nige fell? So, really sattc?'

That's exactly what I thought when I heard Monday's episode.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 28/08/2014 00:29

Whereas I, on the other hand, suspect that the new Editor is determined to subvert everything VW set in motion....

I don't believe they ever had a long term plan for the aftermath of Nigel's death. SATTC was just supposed to bring in new listeners - with no regard whatsoever paid to loyal followers. The follow up story was a complete shambles. All that nonsense with Elizabeth swearing never to have anything more to do with David. Completely fizzled out when they realised it would make TA impossible.

The current story is at least trying to address real things that might happen after a death.

So did Carol smother him then?

R4 · 28/08/2014 08:17

I have finally had time to watch stilllearnin's video above. I am lost for words!
I loved the way he crowd surfed on a lilo. Was that at the behest of Health and Safety?

trevortrevorslattery · 28/08/2014 09:25

Blergh I caught up on Tue and Wed's episodes last night on the iplayer on my kindle IN BED while DH is away. Urgh.. sharing a bed with Roy and Lizzy and their grunting - horrible eeeergh.

Ooh maybe Carol will become closer and closer to Peggy and get her will changed in Carol's favour, to make up for what she's lost to JD...

stilllearnin · 28/08/2014 09:31

Grin do you think the dastardly slippiness of the polyester featured in the risk assessment? GrinHe is a primary school teacher after all

I have seen him do it without the lilo and with 2 pints however.

stilllearnin · 28/08/2014 09:33

Oh the strike through doesn't work like that then- need more practice Smile

R4 · 28/08/2014 09:47
Grin The strikethrough does work like that but the -- need clear space either side of them. If you crash into other punctuation (eg the ] of the grin) then it wrecks the effect.
ZeroSomeGameThingy · 28/08/2014 09:51

Was the contiguous smiley stilllearnin. Would have worked otherwise.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 28/08/2014 09:53
Grin
BuildYourOwnSnowman · 28/08/2014 11:09

Isn't Jenny and her brood already cut out of Peggy's will?
