I do! World at One when I have a spare lunch time, Start the Week when I'm in the car, Farming Today / On Your Farm and the Food Programme to name but a few. I have avoided the Archers since they 'killed' off Nigel!

Yes, I do. Mornings usually but only if I'm at home. I hate You & Yours and the afternoon play is often dreadful. I've started recording some of the good stuff on the TiVo.

All the time, but you can't discuss most of the programmes in the way you can with the Archers - what might happen with such-and-such, and what's wotserface going to say to thinygummybob type stuff.

I used to have the radio on all the time but since giving up on The Archers I find that I'm listening to less Radio4 across the whole day. I'm getting more picky about things like Y&Y, drama and cringy 'comedies'. Even WH is often tiresome these days.
The radio is switched off and stays off.

I have Radio 4 in the kitchen and car on the way to work. I like really random stuff, like the science interviews etc. Quite like the Afternoon Play as well.

I listen to the Archers (and contribute to the thread here from time to time). I also listen to masses of other things on R4. There's a radio in the kitchen, one in my office - I work from home - and I have the Radio Player app on iPad and phone.

I'm certainly not an uncritical listener as dh would testify when he hears me shouting at the radio but I do think it's great overall.

Loads of others. The children and I listen to the Today programme on the way to school for example. I like the plays if I'm in the car at that time.

I always seem to catch gardener's b... dy question time which I don't like and is always on. I have on and off listened to Friday night's Any Questions since I was 17. Any answers is good. I usually catch Money box and the phone in version. Woman's Hour. In fact I've been on woman's hour and the Today programme this year.

There's a good mental health programme too and lots of others but I only listen when in the car or if I'm doing admin like bills which requires no thought at my desk (then I use iplayer).

I listen to R4 a lot. The Today programme is great, Clare in the Community is my favourite comedy, The News Quiz is pretty good, all the random stuff that you hear that were not expecting to listen to. More or Less is brilliant. I am a big fan of Eddie Mair too.

Oh yes, Woman's Hour. How could I forget?

Love Just a Minute, can't bear ISIHAC except for Just a Minim... Strongly dislike whatever comedy thing is the 6.30 Thursday one at the moment.

Listen to R4 all the time, but loads of it annoys me actually (GQT, the food programme in which each week we hear of another thing which 'people are increasingly moving away from/towards ....). Love Eddie Mair though.

I enjoy Moneybox ... not sure why! Yes to Clare in the Community and Just A Minute. We often hear JAM when we are eating tea, and the children love it too. I love Jane Garvey on WH, too.

I love radio comedy. Esp Count Arthur Strong when it's on.

Radio6 for music.

Always heckle John Humphreys in the morning too. Oh and learn about ishoos that are going to be a problem at work too!

Yes of course I do. I listen to radio virtually 24/7. Not just R4

Another one here who listens to most of the above at irregular intervals, but tries to tune into TA having been lured back in by MN threads and so accidentally forgotten about my boycott since Nigel's death!!

Love the comedy, the current affairs, You and Yours and WH, and the random programmes, like Does He Take Sugar, the environmental programme and the law programme in the evenings, where you can suddenly become an expert in something you didn't know existed.

YY to heckling John Humphries etc in the mornings and to Gardeners Question time popping up too often. Only programme I actively switch off - and it always seems to be on when I'm on my own on a long car journey: irritating.

I have it on all day long. I absolutely love More or Less (weirdly as I'm rubbish at maths) and enjoy Start the Week, Midweek, Desert Island Discs (even if the music choices are woeful much of the time), The Life Scientific and the odd amazing play or series eg there was a series called Three Pounds in my Pocket about immigrants from the Indian subcontinent in the 1950s recently which was really interesting and eye-opening.

On Friday night the drama was called Four Trees down from Ponte Sisto - written by Sharon Charde about the death of her son which was absolutely stunning radio.Similarly the two dramas about the death of Sophie Lancaster were phenomenal.

What's frustrating is that the quality is that the quality of the drama is so variable.

Are you kidding? I acknowledge radio as my third (wonderful) parent.

It's incontrovertibly true that I've learnt more from BBC 1, 3, 4 (and even 2 for a short while in a different era) Xfm etc, and latterly stations from around the world, than I ever did at school.

I'm happiest when there's no TV in the house (and happy to travel for, or iPlay, Sherlock, Line of Duty, Masterchef...) I don't generally trust TV factual stuff and could never access enough of what I care about without constantly having to trawl 500 channels.

DP and I listened to Martin Jarvis reading 'William and the Triplets' on Sunday evening and it was pure joy. Anyone else catch it?

Yes! He is superb at bafflement in boys.

I remember a William series he did about a thousand years ago when I was in my first job. If I got out of the house before the end of "Today" all was well. But if I lingered till the start of the performance I could never drag myself away. Think I was late for work for an entire week.

It was superb. What made me catch my breath was the answer to the question about scattering their ashes after their inevitable demise. After those who wanted to be returned to India there was one woman who wanted her ashes scattered from Blackfriars Bridge. She was the same woman in episode 1 who went to Brighton with her DH and looked at the sea in wonder. I hearted her.

Zero - there were a number of us who used to be late for work in our office because we were listening to the 8.45 book slot all those years ago! It was a good job really, as we couldn't be told off as there were so many of us - those were the days!

I think that it was just in the holidays when Yesterday in Parliament wasn't on.
