Yuk.

Is there not a massive age difference?

I imagine Kenton to be all Monty Don/Kevin McCloud and Jolene to be all Mrs Beeton/June Whitfield.

It's just all so wrong, like Elizabeth taking up with Jo Grundy.

afaik Jamie's previous fury with Kenton for splitting with Kathy in the first place & then speaking to women in Jaxx remains unresolved...

I know the Archers SWs are renowned for not bothering to resolve unresolved issues but I think we must be in for a bit of Kevinning ("it's not FAIR! I HATE you!!!") from Jamie yet

I have never understood why Jill and Phil had a a David, and Elizabeth, and a Shula and a Kenton. Sounds like two different families.

Yes yes Seeker! I have also thought the same about the names. I have never ever heard Shula or Kenton used anywhere else.

I like Kenton and always like Jolene but thought of her as a 'Darling Buds of May' type rather than a femme fatale.

And afai can tell her voice hasn't recovered from the doldrums she sank into after Sid's death - so it's not convincing that she could be ready and able to attract anyone else.

She's too old and frumpy-sounding for the Kenton character.

I know Kenton is an unreliable drifter. But Jolene?? Bet she's a dirty gal in the bedroom. Kathy probably used to steam clean him before and after.

I thought Kenton was going to seduce Kirsty.

I don't think Jolene sounds old for her age - the problem is Kenton sounds (and too often acts) too young for his. He's meant to be older than David - poor old David sounds about a decade (or two at the moment) older.

I missed a few days, came in to 5 mins yesterday of Lizzie in hospital and poor David wracked with guilt.

I always think of Jolene (i love the way Lilian says j'lene) as a Dolly Parton lookalike and kenton as an irresponsible Alan Titsmarsh type; well matched IMO

I hope that Jamie will further break Kathy's heart by moving in with Kenton, Jolene and Fallon.

DH and I sometimes amuse ourselves with 'who would you be if you were a character on the Archers?' and 'who would you marry if you were married to a character on the Archers?'

Apparently, I would be married to Harry and he would cook me fancy meals every day.

If Jolene was born in 1970 I'm Kate Middleton! That would make her a similar age to Ousha (sp) wouldn't it? She sounds more like lillian's age - as did Fallon's dad when he was in it for a while.

I have checked the archers website. She is born in 1970.

Vicky tucker is about the same age- i want her to have a baby yo annoy moany Brenda.

Kenton was born in 1958
