OP posts:
GeekOfTheWeek · 28/05/2010 12:17

Hi all, has anyone seen any nice beach bags? Can't find any I like. Need quite a big one for all towels, suncream and baby stuff.

Not long now nic, are you excited?!

We are at a 30th tonight, looking forward to a few wines and some buffet food

Where is the best place for a nipper? Is it worth me getting one for the beach and for any snow in the winter. I adore my bee but it won't be good in the sand. I also need a liner for it and can't find one i like.

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 13:10

i put the boys cups in the pockets to keep their drinks cool. Im not into changing bags at all. But with two boys and potty training i did need to give in. Babymel best bag i've had. Will buy another as i love the stroller strap if i have any more dc

geek the nipper is fab on beach and in snow would really recommend. Bought my first one which was camel bn off ebay and the second one was used from the pram board i go on.

ooh i love a good party enjoy.

Just been into boots to buy more suncream and moisturiser somehow managed to spend £35 more washing on the line..come out warm and sunny here lovely.

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 13:16

oh weather is gorgeous here too!

Nicola we never go anywhere hot enough to worry about drinks being hot I try to fit whatever we need on a normal day into the littlelife rucksack then James has to carry it [grin He's happy, I'm happy ta dah!

Home bargains for suncream is good. But I like to buy simple and they always have that for really good price in there. It's the only one that i can use and not get prickly heat

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 13:29

i started getting prickly heat when i went to zante when pg with Tate OMG its the worst ever. I have just bought some benadryl now to take its awful isn't it. i have simple aftersun. I've found whatever suncream i use nothing makes any difference. I don't burn at all luckily and both terry and i love the sun.

i hate lugging stuff around maxy and now that luka is pretty reliable in his pants i just take pants and wipes in bottom of buggy. But two months ago i had full set of stuff for Tate pants..trousers..socks and then nappies and wipes for luka as well as snacks/ddrinks so needed a good bag. oh so much to do here but not motivated here. you should see boys case maxy it won't do up!!

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 13:47

I don't burn but obviously damage still being done isn't it? Simple is best I've found but I hate weraing any sun cream as skin can't breathe urgh. Prickly heat is awful.

Ha ha ha ha at the case. When you said I think I have too much for them, I'm sat here thinking - yep, you defintely will have, but I would too so said nothing

I need to sell some clothes really....again. tch

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 13:51

its a large case too! we don't even need to take towels..but i will still have two large cases and two holdalls! oh and nipper in travel bag terry will go mad"!!!!

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 13:55

ha ha ha ha ha. Oh god Matthew would too! I will have to whittle everything down for the summer, dreading it already - I like to be prepared

Has Tate worn the birkenstocks yet? Wondered how he was getting on?

5inthebed · 28/05/2010 13:59

What is a rollerbug? Tried to google, but some odd things coming up.

Thinking of selling micralite. Only used it three times since I got it as using quest and car.

DS3 doing my head in today. He is wanting to be a big boy, do big boy stuff, but cant quite manage. We have had three changes of clothes already as he insists on drinking out a beaker. And he wants to walk everywhere! Might get him a littlelife backpack.

So of your imminent holiday Nicola.

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 14:03

how old is he now 5in? must be 18m?

maxy weather changed day we bought them and they're now in case!! he loves them tho. Will let you know when we get back. Wish i'd got the navy ones with the different coloured buckles now.

i like to have everything on holiday as if i was at home. i refuse to compromise just because im travelling!

5inthebed · 28/05/2010 14:14

Yes he is 18 months.

Have you seen this baby joger? The jump seat looks fab!

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 14:21

ooh yes fabby. The jump seats are not available in UK. James would go beserk sat behind though I know it!

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 14:30

wouldn't the younger one be behind in main seat? fab idea tho.

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 14:32

oh yes love the navy an coloured buckles ones Nic! these Timberlands won't last James all summer I don't reckon so will be looking for something else

maxybrown · 28/05/2010 14:35

ah yes, was just saying - I was kind of thinking even if he was the younger one!!

5inthebed · 28/05/2010 14:48

Maxy

DS3 now insisting on not wearing a nappy! He has nappy rash so the air will do him good. Keep eyeing him up though incase he pees against something. I don;t have a potty in the house either!

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2010 14:50

ooooh he's advanced 5in!

i remember having nightmares with luka at this stage he was 17m old when i used to have the looney screaming pushchair episodes!

basl · 28/05/2010 14:50

Afternoon ladies. Glad your are back online now 5in and yes i did see that. I thought i was the only mad person that would import stuff i had to have. It looks great. I bet you would never tell you where pushing two. Olivia used to sit on the edge of the seat in the winter and you would never know she was on it.

5inthebed · 28/05/2010 15:17

Well he lasted 20 minutes before he decided to squat and poo on the cats scratch post. Little horror.

DS2 used to sit on the BJCE footbit while I pushed, was so easy!

GeekOfTheWeek · 28/05/2010 16:33

The wine is open.

Glass is poured.

Purely to get me in the party mood?!

GeekOfTheWeek · 28/05/2010 16:34

Whoops, meant to ask if anyone can recommend where i can get a custom made liner for my bee. How long do they normally take?

Thanks

basl · 28/05/2010 17:05
