I just want something at a cheap 'try it' price as it's been a while

OP posts:
scattykatty · 11/08/2009 21:55

Ps FMTD I'm not selling it or anything, Stokke said I should bin it so I'm trying to find ways to get rid of it without it seeming like the most hideous wood waste since the Labour party started printing manifestos

Disenchanted3 · 11/08/2009 21:57

Lol!!
I vow to use it and love it and if It does not fall down I will pass it down through generations of the family, lol.

My baby pug is asleep on the couch snoring!! Shes wearing a tiny cardigan!!

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 21:59

I would love a Pug more than anything in the world!

My DH has just texted me about the TT, he said he would stake his life that it won't fall down! He says I'm a paranoid FTM

JigglyPiggy · 11/08/2009 21:59

hmm i am loving that colour! thanks for giving me something new to trawl ebay for

had some bug stuff arrive today in red but im not sure if its boyish enough? I keep seeing bug cams with yellow hoods on charcoal bases and I hated yellow but really want one now!

Dis forgot to say carrycot arrived today just got to decide which colour to use now! It will be trivial soon as DS won't fit for much longer!

Disenchanted3 · 11/08/2009 22:02

Lol, yup! Im 3rd time round... Id sit her ontop of a pile of bricks!

5inthebed · 11/08/2009 22:03

Jiggly, I had red for my bug, it's a fab boys colour.

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/08/2009 22:05

Yes scatty I would not be buying a highchair I would be recycling it into a device to allow my DD to aproach the table in an eating/drawing/painting/playdough playing mode!

5inthebed what happens after you have had more than 10 pushchairs
And thanks for advice.
The derivation of the word hun as used to describe a pushchair fanatic is shrouded in mystery and no one can agree on it's origin.
Some would say like you that it comes from the friendly greeting of the pushchair fan - 'Honey' or hun for short.
However others put a rather more sinister interpretation on it and will mention the Germans, the war, violent Glasgow gangs or religious bigotry.
I kid you not.

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 22:05

My sis said yesterday that red was disgusting so maybe it is a boy colour! All the Bugaboo's seem to be red or have red bits though... I hate being the same

Jiggly just to warn you red ones don't sell on as well I've heard, natural is the best for that

JigglyPiggy · 11/08/2009 22:08

5inthebed did you mean 10 prams in the house at once?

I have a long way to go before i can talk seat depth and width - i have never even pushed a maclaren with a child in it

i do like the funky spitfire though as its a proper boys pushchair. Can just see DH pushing DS round the tank museum in that pushchair!!

5inthebed · 11/08/2009 22:08

Oh now come on Dunoon, I can't tell you that, that would be breaking the secret code, although I can tell you there is an award ceremony and cake

carrielou2007 · 11/08/2009 22:09

Evening all, what's been going on, why has everything been moved around?? We've been going for over a year now (or is it a year in september) and have already been moved once??

I also thought 'hun' meant honey but the only time I had ever seen it was when I made the mistake of trying Bounty (shudder).

I saw my friend and her baby the other day and she had the same pram she had for her son (who is now 5) she could not understand why I like my prams so much. I find it strange that she is someone who is very slim, pretty and fashion concious, always has the latest clothes, makeup and bag yet has a pliko the same as the one used in Footballer's wives (I actually really liked it but it is a bit dated now!!) from several years ago!!

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 22:09

I like cake. I only have 3 buggies

5inthebed · 11/08/2009 22:09

I've just got a spitfire today Was stopped twice in Mothercare today by two mams of boys asking where I got it.

I meant 10 prams in and out. I've had 13 (I think, since November)

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/08/2009 22:10

Cake! omg I must buy some more pushchairs.
Hang on I have had more than 10 pushchairs.

I must be in the gang already.

Disenchanted3 · 11/08/2009 22:13

Gosh, I think I go through 10 a month

I have to stop!!

Scatty if DH has Ok'd it does that mean I can take it off your hands?, I shall send you an abundance of chocolate in return

JigglyPiggy · 11/08/2009 22:17

well i have 5 in the house at present and 2 in the loft. hmm my list so far would be

graco (first ever pram for DD)
mothercare stoller (blue and lime - for DD?)
graco mirage (again for DD for nannys house)
swallow pram
chicco stroller
zapp
2 loolas
bebe confort urban
bugaboo frog
bugaboo bee
zia
bebe confort high trek

can i have some cake please!!

Disenchanted3 · 11/08/2009 22:18

I can't write my list, I can't bear to...

Ive had 7 p&ts alone!!

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 22:19

Hahaha he wants to check it on the weekend first Dis he also wants to be £110% sure that nothing will ever go wrong with it.

He has serious 2nd hand issues, in the end he wouldn't even let me sell my cousin the Bugaboo chassis 'just in case' cos a few times it had got stuck til I put some WD40 on the wheels but he thought it would be too 'awkward' if anything went wrong so I still have it in my garage...with a spare set of TT legs and soon another whole TT

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/08/2009 22:19

I have just looked through my photos and counted 15 pushchairs since last september!
Yikes.

lecohen · 11/08/2009 22:19

Hi all,

Wow, I would love a red tripp trapp...can I get in queue too...will pay for it, would be nice in my red kitchen drool

Anyways...how is everyone spending summer holidays?

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 22:21

Ok that should be 110%, I had a moment where I forgot how to do the percent symbol.... duh!

Disenchanted3 · 11/08/2009 22:24

Lol, well I will def have it if he says so!

Im sooo bored tonight!

Am still having trouble with LL... she says the cam was posted Friday but it hasn't turned up to the lady ... I txt her and she assured me the refund has been done but I can't help but be suspicious!

mumofdjandbabies · 11/08/2009 22:26

hi 5IN
Ill pay the £30 for the cot if you dont mind and Ill arrange a courier is that ok

scattykatty · 11/08/2009 22:28

It's such a horrible situation Dis!

I'm looking forward to DS's sunglasses from Maclaren tomorrow Finally there is some sun! Woo Hoo

Just looked on finished ebay listings... people paying £80 odd plus postage for a used TT. They are only about £110 new. It makes no sense!
