1944 could you PM me a link to the FB group? I would love some others to geek out over prams with.

It's the same with anything classic or vintage - people collect them. Do you feel the same about cars?

I have 3 coach built prams and I'm only 31!
I have a full size Swallow pram that I use for my baby daughter- although she's now nearly two and wants to walk everywhere :(
I also have two doll sized prams that I am restoring for my daughter- one is a 1930's wooden pram complete with mudguards and the other is a Silvercross pram from the 1950's-it was cream with a brown hood, but i'll be changing it to white with a lilac hood.
My sister also has a full size pram and we walked into town with the prams (my daughter in mine, niece in my sisters) and we got stopped over 30 times, we even had our pictures taken!
I have moved to a new town now and not seen anyone else with a coach built pram, so I think it will be a novelty here too

Was willing and happy to offer you advice until I read your post about women who like to collect these prams. Have lots of experience and knowledge, so your loss.

Your attitude is abhorrent, people are free to spend their time and money on whatever they please. Do you also accuse people who own concours cars as mentally ill? You don't have the right to buy ANY item FFS! The women who collect, and often do a grand job of renovating, these prams don't need a child to justify themselves. You don't have a God given right to buy one, entitled indeed!

You sound somewhat spoilt OP.

It's none of your business if people wish to collect prams and your attitude to those do who isn't nice.

I have one ready and waiting for baby and can't wait to use it. Makes sense to me that baby will be parent facing, high off the ground and in a sturdy pram rather than the travel system option. We plan to use a sling if going any where by car and to purchase a small push chair for longer trips out. This sounds a lot but pram was from ebay so didn't have the over a grand price tag the new ones have!

Hello all, I know this is a bit of an older post, but i'm looking for the kensington silvercross pram which is collapsable and it seems to be out of stock everywhere. I can see the Balmoral one is available, but as my house has stairs to get up to our level, how practical would the Balmoral be?
