bugaboo bee+ and micralite toro carry cot

Hi
Just wanted to ask if anyone has used a micralite carry cot on a bugaboo bee+?

and if so would they have any pictures

I bought the bee with the intention of using the cocoon but I just don't think baby would be that comfortable in. I'm due in July and think the bee cocoon would be too hot.

Also where I could buy the carry cot for cheap as I am on a budget now.

What do you think please any advice very much appreciated :)

EBay. Although are you sure it will fit on the bee?

I read somwhere that you could use the maxi cosi car seat adapters to attach the carry cot.

I've checked eBay there isn't any near me that's suitable :(

Just seen it looks good although the pictures are small, now I'm wondering if its the old bee or the new bee it fits
And also whether the new air flo toro carry cot will fit

Yeah the pic is small, I cant see which bee it is, but the pic is from June 2011, I dont know anything about micralites, but if the carrycot you want is new, this is probably not it.

Problem is they're popular item so they retain the price.

I think I would have to buy the carry cot and try it myself because the one in the pic looks the older version of the Toro not the new airflo one that's out now.
maybe I should just stick to the cocoon, seems like less hassle

Hello. This might be of some help. I've just bought a second hand micralite toro carrycot in v good condition and fitted it to a bugaboo bee (pre-2010) so not thebee plus. I was sceptical it could be stable but actually it really is. It fits with the maxi cosi cabriofix car seat adapators for the bugaboo bee (original model).

I know the bee plus is a bit wider, so it would need trying out, but I think it could well work.

The reason it fits is that the micralite toro has the same adaptors for the carrycot and the maxi cosi carseat, so it clips on very well. The carrycot is a tight fit on a bugaboo bee, so the bee plus being wider could even be an advantage, but you definitely would have to try.

I also read the Quinny Dreami carrycot fits for the same reasons.

I used to find not having a carrycot and just having the cocoon a bit annoying with my first child due to the strapping in, which is why I thought it was worth trying the carrycot option this time. If the carrycot didn't work I was going to try a phil and ted's coccoon and put the straps round it. I carried my 1st child in a sling a lot at the beginning anyway and it's been a brilliant puschair for the last 3+ years apart from that and the lightweight and compact nature of it is great later on.

can i ask where you bought your carry cot from? because i can only see the brand new Toro carry cot on sites like kiddicare

I did this with the Quinny carrycot too and whilst it works the part where the baby's head is is titled back at quite a slope, I never had the guts to put him in it.

I think the pictures vendea posted are with the bee plus due to the wheels on the buggy.

Hmm, I had the Bugaboo Bee cocoon - the whole top part of the cocoon can be removed, or it can be buttoned back by different amounts. I found it pretty flexible temperature-wise.

We had MaxiCosi adapters and a MaxiCosi carseat.

If you are the inventor vendea I cannot even word my love for you!
I just couldn't put a newborn in a Bee+; and personally I found that even the cocoon wasn't enough.
The toro carrycot fitted perfectly for us, and just made it amazing.
I always said that the only negative thing about the Bee+ was that there was no cocoon, so after spending hours searching internet for a solution, I was so pleased that someone came up with it!
Its been quite a while since we used ours, but am always recommending it to people!

Re animating a 'zombie thread' as they put it, to see if anyone has done this with the new air-flo carrycot?

Binky I haven't done it with the air flo (my understanding is the air flo doesn't fit the same way) but I did it with the older micralite toro carrycot plus maxi cosi adapters.

Hi, has anyone tried the toro airflow with the bee+ yet? I can't get hold of the older toro carry cot and would love to have a carrycot that works with my bee+ Baby due in 2 weeks:) I tried the buzz carrycot but although it fits on the adaptors it tilts backwards so baby would have its head lower than it's body :(

Hi joanne think you PMd me, in which case I replied, but in case it was someone else - sorry I sold it to Alibobs already.

By the way, the old style Toro carrycot also tilts but the other way - head is a little higher - which was good for us as DD had suspected reflux.

If you buy britax car seat adaptors such as these then the britax carrycot also goes on. I'll add a photo link if I can find it, there are some good comparison photos of britax cot vs toro one.
