It is odd - some people seem to feel that bugaboo owners are next door to Genghis Khan Hmm

Frrrrightattendant · 26/10/2010 17:54

Who was Ghenghis Khan? Can I just ask that while you are here? I am a bit lacking in general knowledge.

Purplebuns · 26/10/2010 18:01

None taken Frrrrightattendant.
Sometimes it appears you need a thick skin for having the audacity to own a Bugaboo lol

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 26/10/2010 18:04

otherwise do the bugaboo walk of pride ignoring the hate-dem mammies.

Purplebuns · 26/10/2010 18:06

Meh I don't really care, I bought it as they serve a purpose and I do not care what pushchairs other have.
I do love how it does everything I want it to do, I had a cheap pushchair at first and it broke very early on, had it fixed and then it died again. I got fed up and bought one with a good reputation and build quality.

Frrrrightattendant · 26/10/2010 18:22

I did have a bug for a while (cam) it had a squeaky brake on the left - they fixed that. But the propensity for tipping ds2 out of it on sharp kerbs was too worrying for me! I'm not a careful driver and we don't have careful pavements round here Wink

So I sold it. I have had about 55 different prams, it was definitely one of the nicer and better ones.

NothereisnobodylurkingbehindU · 26/10/2010 18:28

Ghenghis Khan - v nasty mongolian bloke who swept across the plains of Europe/asia massacring folks about a thousand years ago. His views on pushchairs are not recorded but probably involved spikes on the wheels!

Frrrrightattendant · 27/10/2010 07:39

LOL Grin

Thankyou for the info!

Whocantakeasunrise · 27/10/2010 07:52

My baby days are so over, but at what age is acceptable for grandma to say:
"When are you having children I need grandchildren. I will have the pushchair for grandchildren just need you to produce them."

Children are currently aged 14 and 6 - won't be a problem to start that next year when launched will it???

Purplebuns · 27/10/2010 11:02

Can you not squeeze another couple out?Wink
If not think how cool a pram, Bugaboo will have out in 10+ years? :o

OP posts:
EnSuiteShed · 27/10/2010 12:42

"Aw, Whocantakeasunrise, you're pregnant! Were you broody again?"

"No, it's just that there was this buggy I wanted...." Grin

whatagradeA · 27/10/2010 12:47

I only opened this thread cause I thought it was a joke! The Donkey?!!! That's what people say about cars (and footballers?) that are rubbish isn't it?!

lanismum · 27/10/2010 13:36

Bloody stupid name but I do love it a bit......I dread to think of how much it will cost though, and how much of a pain it will be to fold...but I still love it a bit......a lot.....I wonder if a cam carrycot would fit, or if it has to be a special donkey one?

Whocantakeasunrise · 27/10/2010 16:53

How about I buy "two of [[
cgi.ebay.com/Baby-Think-Over-/220686435358?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3361efc41e these]]"

It'd save on school fees/clothing/feeding the real thing!

And when the novelty wears off I could ebay it all. AND it may prevent my dd having teen pregnancy.

WIN WIN I say!!! Grin

Whocantakeasunrise · 27/10/2010 16:54

Oh I can never get these damn links to work.

scottishmummy · 28/10/2010 16:53

your link

Purplebuns · 28/10/2010 18:22

Weird Confused
I think it would work in preventing pregnancy though.

Update on Bugaboo Donkey Price:

in mono configuration: 1089 ? / 1199 $ / 899 £

in duo configuration: 1339 ? / 1499 $ / 1099 £

in twin configuration: 1489 ? / 1659 $ / 1219 £

Purplebuns · 25/01/2011 13:59

Ooh where did you find that out? I guessed £1200 when I was talking to the lady in my local babyshop. Definitely, what you would expect!

OP posts:
suzie38 · 25/01/2011 15:52

What's the difference between duo and twin???

Purplebuns · 25/01/2011 16:02

I am guessing with a twin you get two carrycots and seats, and with a duo you get one carrycot and two seats or something like that.

OP posts:
mamadiva · 25/01/2011 16:17

Twin = 2 carrycots/seats Duo = 1 carrycot/1 seat.

I have despised The Fuglyboo since the day I went shopping for a pushchair in 2006, they are butt ugly, look hideously impractical and cost a fortune!...

But I digress I want a donkey Blush:o

Whta a bloody name though but I guess the design does feature around the whole pack-horse thing. Strange though as all the others have been reptile/water based but now we have a random mammal amongst the pack Hmm

Purplebuns · 25/01/2011 16:23

I think I would have preferred the Bugaboo Dromedary or something a bit more exotic...Wink

I would have thought with a Duo you get two seats and one carrycot, as the mono should have one seat and a carrycot like the cameleon?

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 25/01/2011 22:14

I liked the driving around by itself thing, convenient for 3am colicy trips round the block. Stick your toddler in with the baby to supervise chuck it out with cat and go back to bed Wink

Mowgli1 · 26/04/2011 20:51

I am an ICandy Peach owner and eagerly waiting for a PPP to buy upgrade pack. I have always hated the feel of camping / tents about the bugaboos but the Donkey has caught my eye. Anyone have any real life experience of the Peach Blossom?
