OP posts:
BexieID · 07/09/2010 10:48

I can't believe you're all meeting a couple of days before i'm near London Sad. Poop timing Smile. Last time I was in London was about 3 years ago for the gaming exhibition at the science musuem.

BexieID · 07/09/2010 10:48

Tell a lie, it might have been to see Joseph with my mum Grin

basl · 07/09/2010 11:16

Bexie that is poop timing. These are the only days i could get i am afraid. When do you go? But we could still have our scottish meet up as well. Mind and then theres my birthday party in Jan and plenty time to meet up anyway.

I am off to school dinners again. It was suppose to be a BBQ but floads of rain here. So they are serving the food inside. I have to take Daniel Shock bring on the stress factor. He already knocked a table full of shields on display this morning at the school reception. Ahhh the boy is a bull in a china shop.

BexieID · 07/09/2010 11:32

We drive down to mums on Sunday 10th October. We need to arrange Glasgow meet, although I don't have any time off till Feb booked Confused, so don't know how that will work. Am I right in thinking you work weekends as well?

Is it your 40th? I know 2 ppl with December 40th b/days, one in January (2 if you 40) and SIL is 40 in March.

BexieID · 07/09/2010 11:37

Gosh, 10th October i'll have been working for Tesco for 18 years Blush.

basl · 07/09/2010 11:54

I may still be there on sunday bexie. I work weekends yes. Sunday night 7pm till midnight but i have asked a girl to swap for me so don't know if i could come home on the monday. I am rubbish at this planning milarky. I am going to speak to Maxy again and get it all done and dusted tonight.

basl · 07/09/2010 11:55

oh yeah i am 40 on the 22nd of Dec but going to have a party in Jan.

BexieID · 07/09/2010 12:01

I should have remembered your b/day was same day as Erins Blush. I'm not sure whether to give her a wee party or not. Was thinking the afternoon when they break up from nursery (23rd), Sunday before or wait till January.

I like planning trips Grin

BexieID · 07/09/2010 12:02

Need to go get Tom soon. He's stayed for lunch again at nursery.

nicolamumof3 · 07/09/2010 12:12

so are we sat afternoon/eve in london then?

just back from morning to shops thought it was luka's swim lesson got wrong day missed it, it was yesterday! Shock i never do things like that.

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/09/2010 13:20

Hi, Just thinking if we all made it up to Manchester we could stay overnight and drink wine and let our hair down.
If we meet in London are talking going out as that would be £££££.
Or is it wine and nibbles in Premier Inn room?

basl · 07/09/2010 13:25

That would be great Flme if that was possible and so much easyier all round iykwm.. Maxy would def be able to come then. London would be ££££££ yes and we could stay over night. I would absolutely love that. Lets have a vote. I know Diva would be happy with manchester and MAxy and be easy for me. So lets see what we think. Good idea

horsemadgal · 07/09/2010 13:58

I'll wait for the Glasgow leg of the tour! Grin

basl · 07/09/2010 14:24

Yeah HMG we can do that soon anytime really. Now thats a place in a half to catch up in eh. Glasgow is pretty fantastic i think. You do meet some funny people. Yep thats a definate. xx

nicolamumof3 · 07/09/2010 15:32

sorry but i really wouldn't manage manchester unfortunately, but if the majority can do it don't come to london just for me, honestly, im coming to bday basl!

Divatheshopaholic · 07/09/2010 20:15

Im happy with both Manchester and London. Like GMTD said going out and having good night out probably will cost us ££££s in London.
Saying that im ok with wine and nibbles at Premier Inn,too.
Oh Nicola,it will be great for one night with girls, what aout our pyjama partyWink

basl · 07/09/2010 21:44

Help i don't know what to do about the trip. I have got knickers in a twist now. Let me sleep on it and we will chat tomorrow. Diva Don't worry we will def be doing something lol xxx

basl · 07/09/2010 22:19

oh i am thinking manchester would be more sensible but london we could meet with janx and nicola. What could we do in london that did not cost £££££££££££££££ I have a cousin that works in a big hotel in Manchester and don't know if she could sort us out with a deal or something. Right let me know what you think.

Hope everyone has their homework done Grin

We walked to my sisters tonight in the next town. Stayed for tea and then Olivia and I walked home. Dh had been at the gym and picked Daniel up on the way home.

It was an amazing walk. I could not believe she wanted to do it as its a good 1hour. The rain stopped and we saw a huge rainbow. Olivia screamed that this is the first real rainbow she has seen in her entire life!!! lol
She never stopped talking the whole way home and i just can't believe how she is growing up. We passed a church and she asked if this is where ladies go to get rid of their fat tummy. Shock I said no people go to pray to God. She said "oh yeah we learned a pear today but not the kind you eat mum" She put her wee hands together and said our father........ I could not believe it. It's a catholic school and we don't practice but it was so sweet.
Then she spotted my driving insturctors car and shouted out. "look mum its your lesson car" She was very impressed in her words about how well the girl did. She thought she must be having a good lesson.

What a wonderful hour that was Grin

nicolamumof3 · 07/09/2010 22:26

we look at moments like that and savour them forever, they are truly wonderful these little people we all have in our loves aren't they basl Smile

please don't stress about the trip. I would love to be able to come to manchester but with terry working i would have to ask my mum to have all three boys overnight and its the weekend she gets back from my brothers wedding in Greece and i just don't know if i could afford it.

TBH eating out/drinking etc doesn't have to be any more in London then anywhere else in uk, but you do have the travel down to manchester, and basl i honestly think it may be a bit much in two days my hunnie? we will talk tomorrow tho, am exhausted tonight. Still worried about my tom only seen him for 10mins today, looked shattered been at his dads doing homework then i criticised his spelling mistakes, shit mummy Sad must try harder tomorrow.

BexieID · 07/09/2010 23:55

Am I behind the times or is Mumsnet now charging us more to sell?

Mumsnet charges a £10 annual subscription fee to advertise in this topic.

lillypie · 08/09/2010 07:56

Hmmm does that include your CAT subscription your do you have to pay for that on top!

Divatheshopaholic · 08/09/2010 10:27

Morning back from school, ds had 1 hour only today.
10??? pounds??? for anual subscribtion? Cant believe that, i shant bother next february.
It was 5pounds for a few years. They should charge changing names, so there will be less trolls on this site. Imagine trolls might have plenty money and MN make some good profit out of it.

I also think it will be busy weekend for you Basl. If you take train to Manchester it will be midday then meet us go out in the evening, sleep and then take train next morning down London, meet more girls and go out or eat out then sleep and leave next day.
That will be mega busy weekend with loads of catching up and travelling.

5in, will you be able to come down to Manchester?
If can get deal with nice hotel, i can stay overnight, tooWink
I will go London at some point, it will be great to meet up girls who live in and nr London, too.

FlyMeToDunoon · 08/09/2010 10:28

I just had to renew my subscription and it was only £5. That was following the link showing at the top of the pushchair selling page for me.
I think that's it.

Maybe the south East crew should just see you in the new year basl. Might be simpler.

That yucky inbetween weather today where it's drizzling but sticky so any kind of coat that is too heavy leaves me boiling. DD doesn't want the raincover on but gets very damp.

We tried to find wellies for her but she is between sizes so came away with none.

basl · 08/09/2010 11:51

ok ladies thanks with your patience with the jumping in with both feet. I am a numpty sometimes. So Manchester it will be. Your all right it's prob too much for me to do all at once and mega £££££. So i am going to look at travel inns/lodges Hotel etc. Diva you going to stay then? Anyone else fancy manchester? Same date just venue etc to be decided. Sure Maxy would have us for Coffee???? lol

nicolamumof3 · 08/09/2010 13:35

Afternoon all, am exhausted, spent all morning in bed with migraine, yuck. fortunately my lovely step dad had the boys and brought them home for lunch. Luka at nursery and Tate just had home visit from teacher, we got through that without him saying or doing anything embarrassing so guess thats a result.
