A white that’s not too white?

Has anyone got any recommendations for a soft fresh white paint for a south facing room? I love Egyptian cotton but it’s reading champagne in this particular room. I’d love something lighter but brilliant white is too white.

Wimborne White is apparently the most popular F&B white.

I painted our lounge brilliant white and my god it was a killer. I still don't think it's right.

By contrast I bought Mist White by Dulux in a temper in B&Q thinking it was just white and it's been a revelation. It looks a little grey in some lights, a little pink on others. It's gorgeous. It's very forgiving and goes on easy.

New Chalk from Johnstone's is lovely and light without being too bright.

I finally found my paint notes I think the bottom right in my pic was dulux, Welsh Flint.

I have just used Dulux Rock Salt in my lounge everyone who has seen it has complimented it.

I have Egyptian Cotton in a large living/dinning room with lots of light ( East, west and south facing). It’s not dark in my room at all. Does give of a certain green vibe at different times. I do kinda like the colour. You can tie yourself up in knots trying to find the exact colour.

Ever so slightly, but not noticeable almost like a tinge of grey.

I loved most of the suggestions here, but Rock Salt is the winner on the swatch test so that’s what I’m going with (and hoping it looks just as good once it’s on the whole wall!)

I'm really happy with the colour of the rock salt. The coverage and colour is great. We've had lots of compliments on it.

Did you get a good result with Rock Salt? Interested as I am currently looking for an off-white for my kitchen/diner.

I just used Timeless in my kitchen and love it. Wasn't sure at first but I really like it.

Dimity , farrow and ball. It has almost a pinky tinge in the evenings , so pretty

@ErlingHaalandsManBun yes it worked well in the room, it’s a very sunny room so that maybe made it read a bit warmer.

Thank you. I really like Rock Salt and I think its the right colour for our kitchen. It gets lots of light during the morning and through to early afternoon when the sun moves round and the lounge then gets it.

Hoping to have the same colour all through so we are going to go with this and see what happens. Its only paint at the end of the day and if we hate it then we can change it again early next year 😂
