And is it good value for you?
For me £38k and you would pro probably have to spend another £38k to make it liveable?

Once you get past the park homes- £200k.

Wildgoat · 02/04/2026 18:16

5 miles is quite a big area. There is a 70k one bed flat in a very very rough area, and a 5.5m six bed house in the opposite direction.

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 02/04/2026 18:19

£260,000 for a one-bedroom house.

quietlycontent · 02/04/2026 18:23

£358,000 is ridiculous

letshavetea · 02/04/2026 18:26

Too wide an area and you need to specify how many beds, tenure etc. A few really grotty 1 and 2 bed terraces in awful areas for around £200 - £250k. A nice 3 bed mid terrace for £340k. Also the area makes a big difference. A not great town to the north of us and a really nice one to the south of our village.

£150k for a 1bed 1bath
needs a complete overhaul as dated decor
not bad for a starter but it’s not in a great area

BitterTits · 02/04/2026 18:30

£165k for a two-bed semi (£80k for a one-bed flat).

Catcatcatcatcat · 02/04/2026 18:31

£250k for a one bed

RaraRachael · 02/04/2026 18:32

£45K for a flat

ScarlettSunset · 02/04/2026 18:34

£125k for a one bedroom flat once I'd excluded shared ownership or retirement places.
And I think it's pushing the description of being within 5 miles.

ParisianLady · 02/04/2026 18:36

£190k for a tiny two bed terrace in need of renovation

FruAashild · 02/04/2026 18:38

£25K for a 2 bed terrace.

Most expensive is £3.5M for a country house set in 41 acres complete with swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, riding school, and 3 bed gate lodge for guests.

MiddleAgedDread · 02/04/2026 18:41

Excluding parking spaces and garages I was surprised to find anything under £100k although it’s in one of the most deprived areas and I wouldn’t walk the streets in the dark https://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/71647672/

StationJack · 02/04/2026 18:43

£200,000 (auction)

Another2Cats · 02/04/2026 18:44

If you're talking an actual house, rather than a flat, then the cheapest here is £120k for a 2 bed Victorian terrace.

RamsayBoltonsConscience · 02/04/2026 18:48

170K leasehold maisonette, 1 bed

canyon2000 · 02/04/2026 18:58

£35,000 for a flat. Looks nice from the pics but I don't know the area.

Owly11 · 02/04/2026 19:06

£70000 for a flat

TheDandyLion · 02/04/2026 19:07

£150k 1 bed flat.

Meadowfinch · 02/04/2026 19:13

100% ownership of a house rather than a flat, not a park home or a retirement property.......

£200,000 for a 1 bed house, end of terrace, freehold, 2 parking spaces.

Studio apartments on 50% ownership start at £75,000.

Hatty65 · 02/04/2026 19:21

£35,000. A 3 bed semi that needs a fair bit of work.

£95,000 for a renovated 3 bed terrace house that looks immaculate.

EmbarrassmentLovesCompany · 02/04/2026 19:30

20k for a 1 bed flat on the high street.
Wouldn't be my first choice but it would be ok.

There was one for 18k, but I couldn't see a kitchen.

tinyspiny · 02/04/2026 19:33

60k for a studio flat

Imicola · 02/04/2026 19:49

Offers over 25k. It has structural problems and is in a tenement so not necessarily straight forward to sort it out. Has been on the market for ages.
