OP posts:

£350k for 3 bed ex council house.

DustyMaiden · 02/04/2026 19:51

320k 2 bed terrace

Doggymummar · 02/04/2026 19:56

400k if you take all the retirement places out the equation

Jellycatrabbit · 02/04/2026 19:57

£10k for a very decrepit looking two bedroom end terrace, but for sale by auction so probably go for more. Do I win?

A fair few nicer looking properties around the £40k mark.

Once you get past the park homes- £200k.

They are perfectly fine homes.
My cheapest is £20k park home
£25k houseboat or £80,500 for a SO 1 bed flat.

Revrin · 02/04/2026 20:02

1 bed mid terrace for £150k auction guide price.
Most expensive is £22m.

seenabeena · 02/04/2026 20:03

Greycheck · 02/04/2026 20:04

34k for a one bed flat. Looks fine.

saycheeese · 02/04/2026 20:06

50k for a studio flat in need of a lot of work in a really rough area

ainsleysanob · 02/04/2026 20:13

£14000.

Positivepositron · 02/04/2026 20:25

90k for a newly refurbished 2 bedroom terrace with small garden.

pinkspeakers · 02/04/2026 20:36

Ignoring garages, just land, part purchase, retirement properties, there is a rather grim looking little flat 3 miles away for 225k.

ImWearingPantaloons · 02/04/2026 20:39

£14k.

Seriously. But it’s an absolute shithole.

LoopyGremlin · 02/04/2026 20:48

£110k for a grim studio flat. Edinburgh. It’s only 24 square metres!

IloveJonBonJovi · 02/04/2026 21:30

£250k for 3 bedroom detached. I’m gobsmacked at that. Thought it would be much cheaper

TheNoonBell · 02/04/2026 21:34

68k for an occupied flat.

Kwamitiki · 03/04/2026 07:52

£330k for a 46sqm terrace in a not great area. It really surprised me. Not many flats where we are, but they are only a bit cheaper.

(SE, not London but an hour or so on train)

sometimeseverytime · 03/04/2026 07:58

Cheapest: 230k for a 1bed mid terrace with the lease running out. its also directly next to a busy rail line (but not next to a station)
most expensive: 40 million (looks like a stately home with a park)

stapletonsguitar · 03/04/2026 08:04

Cheapest actual house is £100k. Two bed mid terrace, needs doing up. There’s a studio apartment above a shop for £30k, cash buyers only which actually sounds good value for someone to buy and rent out.

popcornandpotatoes · 03/04/2026 08:09

82,500 for a dilapidated one bed 'investment opportunity '

AltitudeCheck · 03/04/2026 08:12

£94,500 for a 3 bed terrace in a village. It's not selling though.

LittleBearPad · 03/04/2026 08:13

£575k for a three bed house.

£280k for a one bed flat.

Cosleepingadvice · 03/04/2026 08:22

£210k for 1 bed masionette
£250k for 1 bed terrace
£300k for 2 bed terrace
£350k for 3 bed terrace

Starting point is in South London and i excluded park homes, shared ownership and retirement homes. Most of the above were pushing out into Croydon or Sutton from where we are, which by road is slightly over 5m but I guess not as the crow flies.

EmbarrassmentLovesCompany · 02/04/2026 19:30

20k for a 1 bed flat on the high street.
Wouldn't be my first choice but it would be ok.

There was one for 18k, but I couldn't see a kitchen.

Sounds too cheap, what is the catch?

£94,500 for a 3 bed terrace in a village. It's not selling though.

Lack of demand?
