I kinda wanna tear it to the ground and start again. I also want to desperately preserve anything I could. Which camp do you fall into?

@BronwenFrideswide as far as i know modern auction method the buyer pays the sellers fees which on that price would be quite substantial and you have to put down a deposit which is non refundable if the sale does not go through so a £230K house would be nearer 300K

+1 for the wrecking ball for me

+1 more for demolition. Botus Fleming is quite nice though, and fairly convenient.

Made me laugh when it’s says it’s central heated

Thank you for explaining that to me @Isseywith3witchycats I'd avoid that method of buying, it doesn't sound great.

I guess knock it down is the winner. It has such pretty features though so it would be a shame to lose it all, but I see the logic. I say this from my mid-terrace house far away from Cornwall 😂 I just get nosy and love finding stuff on right move lol

I don't think there's anything there worth saving. Sorry

If the price was right I would happily fully renovate... I just don't have the money too pay that much to buy and renovate somewhere. If it was more like £50k to buy (which is fair given its non inhabitable) though then yeah full restoration.

I think people thinking knocking it down and building new houses is cheaper is a bit naive, that would only be the case if the new house you build is utter crap quality.
